Order food for breakfast. ... I placed an order with uber eats and after waiting almost two hours the driver that was assigned called me to tell me that the food had been picked up already and he was going to have to cancel my order. I am stuck in an office for ten hours a day and unable to leave to eat. I called Uber eats customer service and they said that they would not charge me for the order, as if they were doing me a favor by not charging me for food I never received. I asked them to compensate me as by the time I would get my food if I reordered, it would be over two hours since the original order was placed. They said they could not do that, all they could do it make my new order a priority. That is totally unacceptable, as I spend a lot of money with them
I cannot leave my office. I waited almost two hours for the food because one of their drivers picked up the wrong order so I never received it. My only option was to reorder it again and wait even longer. They offered absolutely no compensation for their mistake except making my order a priority.
At least replace this order at no charge.
I have been a regular customer since I signed up for uber eats. I know I spend a few hundred each month on their services.
