Hi, Uber has transportation for work for a couple years. Though, I've had issues with a few Uber drivers, I've never had any concerns with the company itself up until this week. On Monday, my wallet was stolen with everything (cash, debit cards, credit cards, license, social security card). My sister, who doesn't have an account with Uber and refused to for other reasons, gave me her card to purchase a gift card. I made a mistake in putting down her email (incorrectly, due to autocorrect) has the receiving email. I did select that Uber was for me, I'm not sending it to another person. I have send numerous emails to have have the gift card email sent to my email or send to my sister's correct email. The representatives repeatedly states that gift cards can't be replaced or refunded. I'm not asking for a refund, we didn't receive the email with the promo code to enter into the app. Even if she was to start an Uber account, we would not be able to get the credits, because the email is incorrect. Is there anyway someone can help me? I literally feel like I've been robbed $**. I have no way of getting to and from work for next week. And didn't work the last * days, because of this issue. I cannot purchase another gift card.*I would like the gift card amount to be refunded.
