I returned my Avis rental at the airport this evening after a long drive and in pouring rain. Called for an Uber and app said a car is sitting in the waiting area ‘* minutes’ away.*I was directed to walk to a car waiting area, Row A. *It was a downpour in Florida, I had three bags with me, so immediately called the driver to tell him I am at the Avis return. Sarasota airport is a tiny airport. He said he I needed to walk to the car waiting area. We had difficulty communicating given a language barrier but he maintained he would not come to Avis. It was a driving downpour and no cover for me. Sarasota is a small airport. I told him I was canceling the ride. Hit cancel and got an immediate $*.** charge for the driver’s travel time.*The driver was already sitting at the airport lot and never even moved his car. The entire conversation happened the second I got his contact info. He told me to call the Uber offices. I asked for the number and he hung up. I cannot find any way to reach Uber. How is it possible there is no visible contact number to dispute a charge?!!

Somewhere in ‘My Trips’ I found a link to dispute, chose closest problem option and got a pop up that the charge was cancelled. Still the worst customer service ever.
