When I was ** (November ****) I asked my mom to create and administer a twitter account on my behalf (@cammieferguson) because many of my friends had it and I wanted to connect with them. Once I turned thirteen I controlled the account myself and have done so up until now at age **. On October *, **** I realized that my birthday was listed as July **** when the year is actually ****, so I tried to change it- this resulted in my account being locked because it confirmed that the account was made prior to me turning **. It offered a chance for resolution by giving me several options such as “Someone administered the account for me until I turned **” and “I made the account before I was **, but now I’m **,” both of these applied to me and I didn’t know which to choose so I picked the former, thinking it was the safest option. Upon doing so, I was prompted to give my mother’s email address, which I did. She was then sent an email telling her that she needed to fill out a specific form and upload the completed copy and a clear picture of her drivers license. She did this, but she then received an email stating that what she sent was insufficient, so we tried again and we were met with the same response. At the bottom of this email it said that my account would be unlocked as soon as they removed any content from before I was ** which I didn’t mind that much, because, to the best of my knowledge, not much at all was posted when I was still **, but now it’s been over a week. I completely understand that to the best of Twitter’s knowledge, their guidelines were broken and they’re just doing their job, but I have to say I’m slightly frustrated simply because the account was created by an adult, the account was created * years ago, and I am now a legal adult myself. I would appreciate any help I can get restoring access to my account. Thank you so much.*Cammie Ferguson
