I am reaching out to Twitter support trying to find a way to communicate with your company over a problem. I have seen where your company has recently suspended numerous accounts due to something as simple as accounts being formed years and years ago prior to the date in which your terms required. As I understand your efforts and appreciate it, you are targeting in many cases the wrong crowd. My son Jonathan Quinque has had an account for many years with parental consent because we have always monitored his use of social media and he uses Twitter almost exclusively to follow sports. He has always been a stand up young man in school, in sports, the community and especially within our family. He has never used his Twitter account to bully or hurt others, yet because he went into his profile to update his account for football because Twitter is used by many coaches and teams to communicate and tweet out to players, was locked out to all of our surprise with no instructions how to fix the problem other than to fill out a form stating it may take time because of the large volume of requests due to your decision to wrongfully lock upstanding people who are now of age out. This is a crucial year for my son in Football and Baseball and you locked him out of his account without a solid plan to help him or parents, help their children who do not deserve to be punished for the wrong-doing of others. If his birthday did not line-up, he was only using the account under our supervision when young as we did not allow our children to be part of any social media unwatched. The people with accounts who use Twitter to bully one another and put others down should be investigated and locked rather than a clean account like my son’s. We have filled out numerous forms online trying to get it reopened and to show our parental consent but there is no way for us to even know if it is being reviewed. You offer no personal way to communicate and your company is based upon communication. I am pleading with you to please communicate what else we can and should do. Every day he does not have his account, he could be missing out on communications from coaches that may make or break opportunities for him in the future. Our son in a great young man and has never done anything to deserve this happening to him. Please help us resolve this for him. His Twitter username is @j*quinque*and if it is reviewed you’d see it’s used almost exclusively for sports. Finally, both his father and I have filled out parental consent forms with proof of identification through Twitter trying to reverse this act. Please help us reverse this by forwarding this to the right people to assist us since finding this type of help has been extremely difficult and almost impossible.
