Turkish airline changed my flight by their own will and is now refusing to arrange one of many available alternative routs to fly on the same day that are legally responsible to do. Instead they are oferring me the refund so that I have to pay $*,*** extra for the new ticket than the ticket I purchased and paid * months ago.

The issue in GetHuman-zoricane's own words
Both my travel agent and I are trying to get Turkish Airlines to replace my trip (which they changed) by an available alternative route. Instead, they are not acting and are waiting for the ticket for alternative route to be sold and they are offering me refund so that I have to spend $*,*** extra for the new ticket now * months after I booked and paid for my original ticket. ... Turkish Airlines changed one of my flights, but the change is not suitable* the whole trip is now impossible. There is a another itinerary that I would prefer, so could you please help me with this change. Two linked itinerary numbers are:* ********** and ********** and include trip from Funchal to Edremit flights on ********** and **********: *TP**** (Funchal to Porto)*TK**** (Porto to Istanbul)*TK**** (Istanbul to Edremit) this one does not need change**Could you please change it to a very similar itinerary, but connecting in Lisbon instead in Porto on the same day (**********)**TP **** (Funchal to Lisbon)*TK **** (Lisbon to Istanbul)*TK TK**** (Istanbul Edremit as before) no change.**Regards.*Zorica Nedic
I am so disappointed with Turkish Airlines. In my *** years of frequently flying all over the world with various airlines, I have not been treated this badly.
They could make my trip possible by arranging an alternative route on the same day and there are plenty available, but they are just not doing anything, just stalling putting me at high risk to not be able to make my trip as all the tickets for the alternative route may soon be sold.
I understand that airline had to change my flight, and I am even helping them with finding alternative route, which is very similar with what I booked. I am not trying to take any advantage of the situation, I am just trying to get from point A to point B on the day I booked.
