My federal tax return has been rejected repeatedly with the same error message. I've tried to correct it through Turbo Tax but can't modify Form [redacted] as needed for e-filing. Turbo Tax confirms no errors, IRS still rejects filing. Assistance needed. Error message: "F8960-[redacted]-04 - If Form [redacted], 'NetRentalIncomeOrLossAmt' is not zero, it must be the same as Schedule 1 (Form [redacted]), 'RentalRealEstateIncomeLossAmt.' Exceptions: 1) Married filing jointly or Qualifying widow(er), 2) 'Section6013gInd' and 'Section6013hInd' not checked on Form [redacted], and 3) 'FilingThresholdAmt' equals [redacted]."

Hello, I am utilizing the TurboTax CD to submit my [redacted] taxes. I have a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) of $[redacted].30 that I donated to seven charitable organizations via checks from Vanguard, where my IRA is held. I have proof of the charitable contributions with 7 acknowledgment letters. On my [redacted] form, the $[redacted].30 is noted on Line 4a with the designation QCD. After efiling, I received a message from TurboTax stating that my return was rejected due to an issue with the Qualified Charity Distribution calculation from a retirement account. They mentioned a software update scheduled for March 10, [redacted], to address this problem. I have reviewed my return and followed their instructions but cannot find an error. I will wait until March 10th for the update as advised. I am wondering if I made a mistake (as I did the same process last year without any issues) and if you are familiar with the IRS changes they mentioned. Thank you, Joseph C.

I have completed my taxes and made the payment using my MasterCard. I printed out the receipt and proceeded to the next step, but now it's asking me to input my credit card details and personal information again before I can proceed to the final step of printing my documents and e-filing. In my previous years of using TurboTax, this extra step was not required, so this is a new issue for me. How can I bypass this and proceed to step 3 without re-entering my information, as I have already submitted it and have a receipt? Thank you for your assistance. Fred K.

I have completed my tax filing and am now at the last two steps to submit. I used my Mastercard to pay for all the services, and I possess a printed receipt as proof of payment. However, upon proceeding to the next step, I was surprised to find that I was being asked again to input my payment details and personal information, despite having already made the payment. This repetition is concerning as it may lead to a double payment scenario. I seek assistance in resolving this issue and navigating through the final steps successfully, including being able to print documents and e-file my taxes. I have been a loyal TurboTax user for 3 years, and this unexpected hurdle is disrupting the otherwise smooth process. Your help in rectifying this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - F.B. Kauffmann

I bought the TurboTax Deluxe online edition from Costco. After filling in all my tax information, the website prompted me to purchase TurboTax again, even though I had already bought it. I found the activation process, but when entering the code, I received an error message asking me to re-enter the code. I've tried this ten times already with no success, which is very frustrating.

This week, I made an attempt to prepare my taxes by using the software CD. However, I encountered an issue as the CD did not load on my Mac desktop or on any other Mac devices that I tried. I even tested it with different external CD drives but without success. Despite screen sharing with Apple support, no problem was detected. As a next step, I purchased a new Apple drive, but unfortunately, I faced the same outcome. At this point, I suspect that the CD itself may be faulty.

We recently received a K-1 form related to inheritance, although we are seeing K-1 forms typically used for business rather than personal matters and are unsure how to integrate it into our [redacted] form. Last year, we relocated from IL to VA and also received an inheritance, which required a tax professional. This year, we are attempting to switch back to using TurboTax. We are struggling to identify the correct form. Can you please provide guidance either via phone or email at [redacted] or [redacted]? Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Eric & Debbie Soriano

Seeking tax guidance has been costly for us, recently spending $35 on Just Answer. We are puzzled by how to handle a K-1 form related to inheritance and its connection to the [redacted] form. Last year's tax complications when relocating and receiving an inheritance prompted us to seek help, resulting in added fees due to delays in filing. This year, we are navigating Turbo Tax but unsure of the correct process. Your assistance in clarifying the correct forms is highly valued. If possible, kindly reach out to us at [redacted] Thank you for your support. Best regards, Eric and Debbie Soriano

1) I recently turned 65 and had previously paid into CPP. Upon receiving a CPP paper to stop further contributions, I notified the government. However, Turbotax is now rejecting both scenarios, preventing me from completing my taxes. 2) I am helping my married daughter, who started working last year after a long break. Despite previously filing separate tax returns from her husband, Turbotax is now insisting on including his information, making it impossible to file separately as we did before. This has hindered me from completing her return. These issues have been encountered with the first two returns on Turbotax Online this year, despite my loyalty to the service. Any assistance in resolving these matters would be greatly appreciated before I seek an alternative solution.

TurboTax recently introduced a new requirement where users need to sign in before downloading financial information. When I attempted to do this using my email without a password, I received a code via email but was still asked for further verification. This led to a frustrating experience that lasted 3.5 hours, including multiple code requests and filling out a form that required me to even submit a copy of my driver's license. My case number is [redacted], and I appreciate the assistance from Antuan R. Despite trying to use my cell phone, I faced difficulties entering my date of birth due to the scrolling issue for the year. This process needs improvement or the sign-in requirement should be removed altogether. It would be beneficial to have a way to reset passwords promptly.

I selected to pay for TurboTax with my refund and was assured it would not delay receiving my refund. I chose direct deposit into my GreenDot account. The federal government released my refund on March 7th. TurboTax deducted the cost, their fee, and an extra amount but the money hasn't been deposited yet. After deductions, it says a cashier's check was issued and $30 is under review. This seems like a TurboTax error as the government released the full refund, and GreenDot has been used before without issue. I paid for the option to pay with my refund, trusting TurboTax's promise, but the delay is concerning. The mention of a cashier's check is alarming as TurboTax never mentioned this.

I encountered reject code F8962-[redacted] while trying to submit my return. I contacted Nevada Healthlink to confirm my [redacted]-A details, everything is accurate. A Healthlink representative informed me that Turbotax has trouble processing [redacted]-A data and rejects the file. The [redacted]-A form displays $0 in Column B, but Turbotax specifies that the column cannot have zeros. Are there any solutions for this issue? Thank you.

I'm looking to install Turbotax Deluxe for [redacted], but encountered an issue during download. A message popped up stating, "Another version of this product is already installed," and it advised me to use "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel. However, I couldn't locate this option on my Control Panel. I have both Turbotax Business and Turbotax Home & Business [redacted] already on my computer, running on Microsoft Windows 10. I recently purchased the Deluxe version since I'm nearing my e-file limit with Turbotax Home & Business. I need assistance with effectively installing Turbotax Deluxe [redacted]. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

I need assistance with filing our [redacted] taxes for both my spouse and myself. We qualify for the tax credits related to Home Accessibility expenses and the New Staycation credit. Initially, we were using the Premiere Version, but we were unable to input these expenses. The system directed us to upgrade to a version for Self-Employed individuals, despite us being Senior Retirees. It's frustrating that we are forced to upgrade and incur additional costs, especially as pensioners. I'm seeking guidance on why we cannot utilize the Premier version for claiming these tax credits. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have been trying to get in touch with TurboTax multiple times to request my disc after updating my payment information. However, I have not received the disc or any response. I'm considering buying a copy from Staples instead. I've been using TurboTax for many years and have always been a loyal customer. I would appreciate some help in resolving this issue. Thank you.

I bought Turbotax Deluxe in January but only started using it in February. I encountered issues with how Turbotax handled my 403B direct rollover, showing it as taxable. Despite speaking with 6 telephone support staff, the problem remained unresolved. Some suggested using a different browser or lacked expertise with Mac, while others said they couldn't provide further assistance. The last support agent proposed a return call, which never happened. After spending 12 hours on taxes without resolving my problem, I am frustrated and haven't filed anything. I believe a refund is necessary. I have the purchase receipt and original packaging. I want to resolve this with Turbotax but am prepared to involve my credit card company due to the faulty product. Anticipating your reply.

Hello, I recently completed my taxes using Turbo tax software. Upon trying to file my taxes, I encountered an issue where my account got locked due to a missing form, T2205. Turbo web assured me that the missing forms, including T2205, would be available on March 15. However, even after checking today, I am still facing the same problem. I am curious why Turbo launched without having all the necessary forms approved by the CRA. I also reached out to the CRA to understand how they issued a certificate when Turbo is still lacking essential forms. Moreover, I am frustrated that the system allowed the payment to go through despite not being able to file. This situation is causing me stress as I urgently need to file my taxes before my upcoming trip to Europe. I urge the technical team to address this promptly. Thank you for your assistance. Indira D.

I have been living in California all year, but the state tax form keeps questioning my residency status. This issue does not apply to my federal tax return. Currently, the webpage seems to be stuck in a loop by continuously reloading. How can I resolve this to successfully file my state tax return?
