I am utilizing the Premier version of your tax software. I have declared my Canadian Social Security income under the Social Security section on my Federal return. However, Massachusetts treats foreign Social Security differently from American Social Security. As a result, my Canadian Social Security income is flowing through the Massachusetts return the same way as American Social Security income. How can I rectify this on my state return?

I am having trouble installing TurboTax on my computer. I successfully completed the setup, but when I tried to open it, it prompted me to update. After updating, I received a message saying that TurboTax [redacted] is already installed and gave me the option to repair or uninstall. When I select repair, a message appears indicating a missing file and it loops back to the repair or uninstall screen. I would appreciate some guidance on how to resolve this issue.

Upon reviewing the data, I confirmed that the total of Form W-2s, 'WagesAmt', should not exceed the sum of ['WagesSalariesAndTipsAmt' in the return and (the sum of all Schedule C (Form [redacted]), 'TotalGrossReceiptsAmt' when 'StatutoryEmployeeFromW2Ind' is checked)], unless Form [redacted] or Form [redacted] is on file. A discrepancy tolerance of $5.00 is permissible during the assessment. I have verified the figures and found no errors. If I need to resubmit, will I be charged the $59 fee again? Thank you.

I recently bought Turbo Tax Business ($[redacted]) to file an estate tax return this year. I found that the program is more designed for business taxes than estate taxes. It lacks crucial features for estates, like handling a [redacted]-R form, which the agent said wasn't common for estates, even though it is required. The agent's advice to treat the [redacted]-R income as "other income" on the [redacted] form was inadequate as it does not cover the other details on the [redacted]-R. I now have to pay an extra $[redacted] for a tax expert to assist with my mom's estate return. I have used Turbo Tax for over a decade without issues for my personal taxes, but this experience has been frustrating. I believe Turbo Tax should create a separate program for estate tax filings, and I am requesting a refund for the ineffective software. Thank you for your understanding.

I visited the TurboTax website to enter a license code from the Deluxe version, but it didn't work. A prompt directed me to call for tech support, leading me to a company called iSecure. They claimed the code was used, despite me just opening the package. iSecure insisted I had a computer problem, and out of desperation to complete my taxes, I agreed to virus scanning and security system installation. When paying with my credit card, charges appeared from Web Solutions and Global Web, separate from iSecure. After researching online, I found conflicting information about these companies. I feel scammed. I am unsure if it's safe to proceed with my taxes. How can I remove any potential threats from my computer? Should I contact my credit card company to report this?

I am currently trying to use TurboTax "Home and Business." Unfortunately, I am facing difficulties downloading the LLC K1 and K3 information directly into TurboTax from the corporation. I was wondering if there is a way to resolve this issue and have the information readily downloadable from "taxpackagesupport.com/enterprise". The companies involved are Plains All American and Energy Transfer. It seems that all K-1 companies are accessible for download through "taxpackagesupport.com".

I downloaded the software yesterday but am unable to access my account as I don't have an account number or password. I purchased the product through Amazon, and all I have is the credit card receipt showing the charge. Despite having the software icon on my desktop, I am unable to start a return as it keeps directing me to updates, which seem to be unnecessary given the short amount of time since downloading. I have been a loyal TurboTax user for many years and have never encountered this issue before.

I recently purchased TurboTax [redacted] Deluxe, but encountered issues when trying to download the software using the license code. An error message appeared stating "Activation Failed" with various potential causes, including a stolen code, expiration, or virus infection. They suggested purchasing Sonic Wall from a store or paying for a download. They mentioned freeing up TurboTax temporarily but the issue persists. I'm unsure if this person was legitimate or how to successfully download TurboTax.

I spent four hours last night with two of your tax experts; one claimed to be a CPA. Unfortunately, she had her screaming baby with her and spoke unclearly, requiring multiple requests to speak clearly. She couldn't figure out why my taxes weren't correct, so she switched me to another expert. After four hours of frustration with staff who seemed to be guessing, I am dissatisfied with the lack of professionalism. I want a refund and will seek a private accountant instead. TurboTax has lost my trust. My taxes should be simple with two W-2s and one [redacted]-R, yet TurboTax indicates I owe $4K in state taxes. Please respond; otherwise, I will contact Amex to dispute the charge and leave a negative review of your program.

I recently purchased Turbotax Premier for [redacted] and have been a long-time user of this software for over 40 years. However, this year's version has been disappointing. The online product key I received is completely different from what I'm used to, lacking the option to switch between the "Easystep" and "Forms" processes that I have utilized in previous years. The inability to toggle between these processes hinders my ability to correct errors and input accurate information. Furthermore, saving the return does not allow me to save it to my external hard drive; I must now sign in to a server, which was never necessary before. This new online format prevents me from accessing my return solely on my laptop, requiring me to log into an external server. Additionally, I am unable to review CRA forms to make necessary corrections or switch between mine and my spouse's return, making this year's tax preparation frustrating. If this is the best that INTUIT has to offer, I will not be purchasing their software in the future. The program is indicating that I owe over $11,[redacted] in taxes this year, a situation that has not occurred in previous years, and without access to CRA forms, I am unable to locate the errors causing this discrepancy. In the past, the program always downloaded onto my laptop, and I prefer not to file my taxes digitally.

I was surprised to see a $99 filing fee charged by Intuit on Credit Karma for my tax return. I believed the fee would be charged after I finished filing, but it was actually charged before I was ready to pay. I am looking to have the $99 payment refunded to my original payment method since I wasn't prepared for that charge yet. I attempted to reach out to support on both Credit Karma and TurboTax, but unfortunately, I couldn't connect with anyone to assist me with the refund request.

Good morning. I submitted a request yesterday and it was denied, citing that the "Satisfaction Guaranteed policy" only applies to TurboTax CD/Download products. Despite being a loyal customer for over 13 years, I am disappointed. The website kept prompting me to file a Florida tax return, even though I know Florida does not have income tax. I ended up paying $59 and submitting it, only to realize it was unnecessary and came out blank. I was expecting to receive my refund by March 3rd, but the IRS has put it on hold, causing significant hardship as I recently lost my job on the 9th. I suspect the issue may be that my W2 has the state and federal tax amounts swapped, which could be causing the delay. TurboTax has let me down. I have almost completed entering my information and was about to ask TurboTax to review it, but now TurboTax won't open. I have spent hours trying to fix the problem with the automated help provided, but it hasn't worked. I have also spent hours talking to customer service representatives, but they have not been able to resolve the issue. TurboTax has been reliable in the past, but now it's not working.
