Refunding money after closing the account

If your TransferWise account is closed and there are still funds remaining, TransferWise will typically return these funds to the original source of payment. This process may take up to 10 business days. If for any reason the original source is not available, TransferWise will contact you to arrange an alternative method for refunding. It's important to ensure your contact information is up to date to facilitate this process. Please note that your balance will be converted back to the currency of your original payment, which may be subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

changing my phone number - need to speak to someone
