I became a Cusotmer in December of ****. I spoke to a representative at the Kenner, Louisiana store who showed me a map and assured me there would be no issues with coverage. After calling several times during my tenure as a sprint customer I finally decided that the savings I was getting from Sprint was not worth the spotty service. I left Sprint and paid all early termination fees and bought one of the * phones I had on the plan in April of ****. I was planning on Giving the phone to my son as a Christmas present this year but when I took the Phones to Verizon to get activated I was informed that there was a lock on the phone. I call sprint customer service this morning and spoke to them for about ** minutes. I called once again this afternoon and talk to him for another ** minutes. In both conversations I was informed that there was nothing they could do to unlock the phone. They told me he had to be done in their back office and it would take a minimum of five days.I then asked why was there a delay and what did the process involved. They made it sound as if they needed to do a background check the prove that the phone wasn’t stolen or that it rightfully belong to me.The frustrating part is that I purchased this phone out in April **** and it feels as if it doesn’t really belong to me I’m at Sprint Mercy as to when they will let me use my phone. I understand Sprint is trying to save money by using our overseas customer service department but they’re really not providing that great of a service. Please contact me and let me know why there’s such a delay and unlocking the phone that belongs to me. Not that you want massett just yet but going forward I feel like you should recoup your customer service team overseas to be able to better handle situations such as these or at least have someone on call in the US who can better serve customers oh I forgot I’m no longer a customer.During the call I was also asked for my email address in hopes that they would update me what’s the unlock is done they gave me a case number and told me I need to call back in a minimum of five business days once again poor customer service.Thank you for listening I really don’t want anything in return I just want what’s mine my phone and I want to be in lock in a timely manner please respond thank you.
