The issue in GetHuman-foeckem's own words
A couple of weeks ago, I downloaded on my iPad. all of the waiting upgrades - including Spotify. After doing the upgrades, I tried to access my Spotify account. After pressing the Spotify icon, the screen SHOWED Spotify, with two options: "log in" or "create a new account." I have tried - multiple times - to log in using my Yahoo email address and password. Spotify will not let me log on. I reset my Yahoo password several times and I still can't log in. What I want to do is either* a.) get onto Spotify using my Yahoo address, or b.) create a new account using my gmail address. If I do the latter, I'm afraid that I will lose my "Playlists" - on which I have spent a lot of time creating and I don't want to start all over.

GetHuman-foeckem did not yet indicate what Spotify should do to make this right.
