I arrived to the airport an hour before my flight, got to the gate and realized that the check in was glitching for online for me. I searched on google and saw that in-person check-in was $**. So I tried several times online until I finally walked over to the Spirit counter. My flight was at *:**, and at this point it was a ten minutes until the check-in closed. I go over to the counter and see no one there. Finally someone after a couple minutes comes to help me. Her name was Andrea Rodriguez Hernandez at OAK international airport. I proceed to tell her my issue and she says okay, looks up my flight and proceeds to turn to another Spirit attendant and talk about something completely unrelated to the airline, they chat and laugh as I'm standing in front of her. At this point I'm just trying to rush into my flight because they've spent * minutes gossiping in face, so I ask her for help again. She tells me I JUST missed the check-in cut off time and won't be able to get on the flight, it's literally *:** and the Spirit system had been glitching. She doesn't offer any solution and continues talking. She tels me the next flight is at *pm and that I'd have to pay $**. She refused to print my actual ticket because she said they'd close the gate before I'd get there. I know tickets are not refundable, but there must be some resolution. Maybe a credit or something because I missed my flight due to a number of Spirit related issues and was ill imformed by Spirit staff about my flight.
