Trying to receive our benefits checks ... I recently switched banks. I called on ******* to give my new checking account number. The gentleman I spoke with told me that my and my son's checks would be * days late. I have tried getting a hold of Social Security this whole week, I have had to hang up a couple of times due to being on hold for over * and *** hrs, even though the wait time was said to be *.** hrs. When I did talk to someone yesterday, she demanded my son's ssn, though I did not have it available. In the past, agents have pulled up this information without a fuss. So, after waiting on hold for *.* hrs, I had to hang up once again. *We need our checks. We have no money to live on. And it's nearly impossible to get ahold of you. *I'm on hold yet again, just to receive our monthly benefits that I was told would be in my account on the *******.*Can't you hire more phone representatives to handle the incoming call volume? **Thank you for your time.*Sincerely, *Sandie McKenzie
