** days ago Wallace from Sear Home Repair Tech ********was sent to my home on a * year Water Softener Model ***** that was leaking and and emptying the water in recycle. Wallace*told me that due to the softener leaking the timer was malfunctioning So he installed a new timer and then told me that the By-Pass value was leaking due to the water softener not being totally level and would not be able to fix the level and I would need to call a plumber but if I purchased a Sears Warranty on the water softener when he returned my cost would be less I purchased the warranty for $*** *He then charged me $***.** Parts and Labor which I also paid This was order *********. I then call a plumber to fix the level that Wallace said was the reason he could not stop the leak and the plumber charged e $** for a service call and said the water softener was only off **** of an inch *I then looked up what the timer cost from Sears ******** and found out it cost at retail $***.** therefore the labor was $***.** I then check the cost of a new Sears Water Softener just like the one I had and it retailed for $***.** with a $** rebate and free delivery. The actual part I need was By-Pass Value ******** cost $**.***I have the same leaking Water softener that I called into to Sears for repair still leaking *today the **th but Sears has $***.** of my money After talking with a least eight people Chuma, Ann, Eric, Wallace and others I cancelled the protection Plan requested the timer be removed and refunded and was told Sears would let me know! I then tried to order a new Kenmore Water Softener Model ******* but there were no installers in my area I live in The Villages Fl near the Leesburg store and although Sears can deliver a new Kenmore there is no installation available *I paid ever bill from Sears and still have a leaking Kenmore Water Softener *I wish a full refund of $*** Warranty, $***.** part and the $***.** * hour Labor Charge. I wish a new Kenmore ****** be delivered and Installed for the current retail value of $***.** *I have spent over * hours on the phone with different departs and a ** years old *this is just unacceptable and time consuming* *Richard A Watson***** Resthaven Way*The Villages, Fl, ********* *********Case * *******
