I must say I am very disappointed in Sears. First of all, I am a regular shopper at sears as you can tell by pulling my records and feel I should be treated better.*On **-**-** I purchased an expensive coffee maker and an expensive cordless vacuum. I also downloaded the parking lot pickup app.*Well, going to East Town Mall Sears in Knoxville, TN went well with the employees delivering the coffee maker to me in less than * * minutes, very impressive. However, an e-mail stated the vacuum would have to be picked up at West Town Mall Knoxville, TN, which was the option I then picked. I drove to West Town Mall which is a * hour drive both ways. The Sears app found me as soon as I pulled in which was pretty neat. But no one responded to my phone app request. My wife then called the phone number listed and eventually obtained a live operator. After ** minutes of attempting to explain the situation, she finally got the person to look up my order. The Sears employee then stated that the West Town Mall was out of that vacuum even though the inventory supply is supposed to be done electronically. My wife then asked if there was a display model we could buy. The answer was there was one and yes we could buy it. We then asked if there would be a discount since this was an open box display. At this point the operator hung up on my wife. Since we had already spent ** minutes outside in the hot sun we figured we might as well go inside and talk to a human. The lady in appliances couldn’t find the model in stock and spent another ** minutes seeking the display model. She then showed it to us. We asked what the price was and her reply was I can’t sell it to you. Why keep us there so long looking for it if she wasn’t going to sell it to us? In addition, I am disabled and on oxygen so ** minutes outside in the hot sun and another ** minutes in your store that apparently didn’t have the air conditioning on was difficult for me. This is the reason for me using the parking lot pickup so I don’t pass out in your non- air-conditioned stores.*Today I received an e-mail saying my order is going to be cancelled since I didn’t pick West Town Mall as an option for pick up even though I did pick this option yesterday.*This level of incompetence is very frustrating. I wasted * of a day going to * sears stores sitting out in the heat and inside in the stale air of your stores along with people hanging up on us and then showing us a vacuum that they wouldn’t sell to us. This is a terrible way to treat a decorated disabled vet who is a faithful customer. *I do not want you to cancel my vacuum cleaner order and I am not driving all the way back to West Town Mall again because I am unable to drive and depend on others to transport me.
