I have Samsung refrigerator model *RF**FSEDBSR*AA that was manufactured in January of ****. From the very beginning this refrigerator has been a "Lemon". While the refrigerator was under warranty one of the lower drawer slides broke and dropped ball bearings into the bottom of the refrigerator. This issue was covered under warrant and a new slide was installed. After the warranty expired the other drawer slide dropped ball bearings and does not open as it should. Our icemaker continued to freeze up and would not produce ice. After opening it up and thawing out several times I had a repairman come and replace the icemaker. During the icemaker install the repairman stated that this is a common issue with Samsung refrigerators and that Samsung had not changed the design or offered any solutions to this problem. After the new icemaker was installed it produced ice for approximately * months with no issues and now this one freezes up and needs to be thawed out about every four to five weeks. If these issues were not enough, approximately nine months ago the cooling fan started to make noise. After researching and learning that there was probably ice build up around the fan causing it to make noise I took the refrigerator apart and found that it was frozen with ice around the fan. I thawed this out, put the refrigerator back together and a couple of days later noticed that there was ice coming out of the holes below the fan on the panel inside of the refrigerator. Now the refrigerator gets water around the doors, inside of the middle cooling drawer and in the back of the refrigerator below the cooling fan. I called to speak with a Samsung representative and they told me there was nothing they could do other than recommend I have a repairman come out. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that I could not speak with someone else. I am in the process of contacting the Minnesota Attorney Generals Office to file a claim. I have also contacted channels *, *, *, and ** television stations in Minneapolis and Saint Paul and hope that they will do an investigative story on these problems and the lack of support from Samsung. After spending thousands of dollars on Samsung appliances needless to say I am very disappointed!!!! I am not willing to accept the fact that about every two months I have to empty the refrigerator, take it apart and thaw it out for the refrigerator to cool properly. I am ready to be done with Samsung appliances, but at the very least I think Samsung should step up, admit that our refrigerator is a "lemon" and replace the refrigerator with one that works properly.
