I have owned many Samsung appliances including several excellent TVs over the years so when we finally remodeled our **** kitchen, we wanted the best. We chose all Samsung appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and range. All went well until about ** months later., * months after the warranty was complete. My wife left a plastic microwave cover on the smith top surface. The burner was off but the surface was still hot. The smooth top cracked within minutes. I called Samsung but was informed that the warranty was up and they could not help us. We tried to live with the one cracked burner but the crack has spread to two burners and it is now unsafe to use. I called for a repair and was told to replace the smooth top would be at least $***. Since the range was purchase new for $*** that make no sense. *I decided to write one last time to ask for your help on fixing the smooth top on our range. It was not abused, the range is lightly used, and nothing has ever been dropped on it. I even sent Samsung a picture of the plastic Microwave cover that caused the crack. *Would you please reconsider and replace the smooth top. I truly believe that it should not have failed and it should be fixed. *Thank you *Sincerely Richard DeClue
