I have contacted OfferUp several times today. I am being accused of fraud for an item that I purchased via the app (a blackmagic pocket cinema camera totaling $***). I paid within the app and received a notice that my item was being shipped. Everything was fine. The money was also removed from the bank account. This morning I awoke to several message form the seller who has used two different emails to contact me: *****@***.com and *****@***.com*I don't know which one is associated with the account that the transaction was made through, but I wanted to share both with you. He was concerned because he said the payment could not be released to him because my account had been deactivated. He then insinuated that I personally deactivated the account. Why, I have no clue. Immediately, I reached out to offer up (over ** hours ago) to understand why this would have happened. I never personally deactivated my account and now both the buyer and I are concerned because there is money missing from an account for a transaction that the buyer says can't be completed. Further, the buyer says that he has shipped the item, which may or may not be true. But assuming it is, he says that he is unable to be paid for the product because my account is deactivated. Can you please rectify this for both of us. If indeed my account has been deactivated, I want to know why, and I would like it to be lifted so that the buyer can receive payment, or so the sale can be canceled at the very least. I know when paying through the app, there is buyer and seller protection but I really need to speak with someone to understand what is going on. Lastly, if there is anything fraudulent on the seller's end then I would like to know because I plan to follow through with making a report. This has turned into a nightmare and the lack of communication of the end of OfferUp has only made it worse. Thank you in advance for taking this seriously and replying to my email.
