I encountered additional USPS fees because my item was overweight, causing them to not use the provided shipping label from OfferUp. Now, OfferUp threatens to cancel my transaction if they do not witness the shipment within 2 days. However, the item is en route to the buyer. I am concerned that payment may be jeopardized if OfferUp cannot verify the proper shipping. Urgent assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I sold an iPhone 7 Plus, and the buyer paid on January 27th. They received the item on February 1st and were satisfied. However, it's now the 9th, and they still haven't released the payment to me. To make matters worse, they charged me for quick pay. My previous shipping experiences were smooth, but this time, like many others, I'm facing challenges with their process. I'm frustrated by the lack of communication and appropriate responses to my inquiries about the delayed payment release.

I am reaching out regarding a situation my wife and I encountered with a seller on OfferUp regarding an iPhone 8 Plus transaction. The individual turned out to be deceitful, selling us a counterfeit device with non-Apple software and materials. Both Apple and T-Mobile confirmed the inauthenticity, rendering the phone unusable. This has led us to file a police report, and we have gathered evidence to support our claim of being victims of a scam amounting to $[redacted]. The seller vanished after the exchange, indicating potential fraudulent activities under their profile. Regrettably, I now seek a refund from OfferUp as the authorities could not assist in reimbursing the lost funds. This incident has left me financially strained, and I am unable to resell or activate the fake product. I implore for guidance on recovering the money lost. Please, reach out to us at [redacted] or my wife's email, [redacted], a registered true user on OfferUp. Thank you.

I submitted a request from my wife's phone regarding the police report we filed against a seller on OfferUp. The man misrepresented the iPhone 8 Plus he sold us, as it turned out to be a fake phone with non-Apple software. The device is made of plastic and is unoriginal according to both Apple and T-Mobile, making it unable to be activated. We have filed a police report against him for selling counterfeit iPhones, and I can provide the police report and case number as proof of the $[redacted] loss incurred due to this deceptive transaction. Disappointed by this experience, as we have always trusted legitimate user profiles on OfferUp. After realizing the phone was fake, the seller blocked us and failed to respond to any messages. We suspect he may have engaged in other fraudulent activities under the same profile. Seeking a refund from OfferUp as the police cannot facilitate a reimbursement. Unable to use or resell the counterfeit phone, I am at a significant loss. Kindly reach out at [redacted] or my wife's email [redacted] Thank you.
I am requesting a refund of $[redacted] to resolve this issue.

While I was out, I received a text from my bank alerting me about a $95 charge on my account from OfferUp for a hair removal machine, although I hadn't made any purchases through them. I suspect I might have accidentally pressed a button while dozing off post-surgery. I've been trying to contact the seller to avoid any shipment but have had no luck. OfferUp believes I want to press charges, but I'm uncertain. I am reaching out for assistance as I cannot afford the $95 charge given my current financial situation after surgery.

Hello, I'm new to using this platform. I purchased an iPhone 6s from a seller named Jay Kewl. After eagerly tracking the UPS delivery, I received the package, but it wasn't a box as expected. I found a video of myself opening it, revealing only a piece of paper promising the phone's arrival in a few days. Concerned, I reached out to customer support to file a buyer protection claim for a refund due to the empty package. Despite my efforts, the claim was denied. I'm frustrated as the delivery was confirmed, yet I only received a piece of paper. I contacted the seller and emailed Aynax with the video evidence of the package contents, hoping to receive my $[redacted] refund. If I don't get a refund, I might have to involve the authorities. This situation is disappointing, and I feel cheated out of my hard-earned money.

Hello. I am Jessica, using the name "Icaa" on OfferUp with the email [redacted] Despite receiving a "message sent" notification, buyers are not actually getting my messages. I have tried re-installing the app, restarting my phone, logging in again, and verifying my phone number to no avail. There have been no error messages shown, and I am a verified TruYu member. I just want my messages to go through successfully so buyers can respond. The issue started yesterday, and after speaking with Customer Service via chat, I was told to contact "customer care," but have not received any help yet.

I recently purchased an iPhone 6s - 128gb from a seller on this site. According to the company's policy, all shipments should include tracking numbers so buyers can track their orders. Once the package arrives, customers have two days to inspect the product and file a claim if necessary. However, today I received a lightweight yellow envelope with a note stating my order would come separately via UPS. This seems like a clear scam attempt where the actual product may never arrive, leaving me unable to return it within the given timeframe. I believe the seller should refund my money, and platforms like OfferUp should step in to prevent such fraudulent activities.

I encountered a situation with Offerup where they canceled a sale that I had already shipped to the buyer. The buyer has not been refunded, and I have not been paid for the item. The package is currently in transit to the buyer's residence and is set to arrive tomorrow. I'm frustrated by Offerup's lack of response to this issue. I urgently need someone to address this matter before the package is delivered and I don't receive payment.
Transaction #[redacted]-2/6/19: I (seller) canceled this transaction on 2/9, and the buyer was refunded.
Transaction #[redacted]-2/12/19: The same transaction was reinitiated between the seller and buyer. It was shipped out on 2/12. However, Offerup canceled this transaction, claiming it wasn't shipped on time, which is incorrect upon closer examination. Not only did they cancel the sale and not compensate the seller, but they also failed to refund the buyer.
The tracking number for the package with Offerup's prepaid label is [redacted][redacted][redacted].

Hello, my name is Michael Rieche. I was blocked from OfferUp because I had a couple of emails and wasn't aware of the rules. I've been using OfferUp for about 3 years with perfect ratings and no issues. The trouble began when my old email, possibly [redacted], was linked to my account and my phone malfunctioned. I couldn't recall the old email, so I used my current one to create a new account, resulting in being locked out. OfferUp has been essential for me as I sell a lot of cars and items. I seek assistance to resolve this matter promptly. You can reach me at [redacted], and my phone number is [redacted]. I also have my license on file. Thank you for your help.

I recently sold my iPhone 6S Plus to Destiny in Mo. After answering all her questions and providing the IMEI number, which I verified as not stolen with Apple twice, she agreed to the purchase and used the shipping service provided by OfferUp. The phone I sold had been found deep in a car and had some cracks, but it was not reported lost or stolen according to Apple. Despite my explanation that I don't use iCloud, Destiny asked about it. She confirmed with Apple that the phone wasn't reported stolen and still proceeded with the purchase. However, after receiving the phone, she falsely claimed it was stolen, resulting in OfferUp confiscating it without warning or investigation. Despite my requests, OfferUp has not provided me with a supervisor's explanation or contact information. Their actions have been unfair, especially considering my history of successful transactions on the platform.

I purchased a phone that was never delivered despite the website claiming it was. When I investigated further, I realized the phone I received differs from the Galaxy Amp Prime model SM-J320AZ that I ordered. This model was exclusively sold in white and tailored for the Cricket cellular network. Despite providing evidence of the discrepancies in color, specifications, prices, and release dates, the issue remains unresolved. The transaction ID for this purchase is [redacted].

I created an OfferUp account a few days ago. The first item I posted appeared in the main feed and received messages with no issues. However, the two items I tried to post 4-5 days ago have not shown up on the website. They have zero views and don't appear on the main page. They are only visible on my "offers" page. I tried reposting them multiple times, but still no luck. I also had trouble sending messages to inquire about other items. OfferUp's support has not been helpful, and I am disappointed with their lack of communication. As someone in web-related work, I had high hopes for OfferUp but this experience has been frustrating. Please assist me in resolving this issue. My email is [redacted], and my new phone number is [redacted]. My name is Rose. Thank you.

I recently got a new phone and phone number, and I started using OfferUp. My first item posted and sold without any issues, but the subsequent 2-3 items I've tried to post have not shown up on the platform. There is no activity or messages on them, and when I try to send messages about other items, they don't go through, even though it shows as sent. I've tried contacting OfferUp's help desk twice with no response or resolution. I was selling and messaging fine before, so I know it's a technical issue on OfferUp's end. This is my final attempt to get help.

I recently sold a video game and an Apple TV on OfferUp. I shipped both packages promptly using OfferUp shipping labels and notified the buyers. However, the money from the sales did not reach my account, causing me financial distress as I have bills to pay. Despite the packages being received by the buyers, the tracking information did not update. I have contacted the post office and spent hours trying to resolve this issue to no avail. The buyers have confirmed receiving the packages, but the transactions are still in limbo. I am frustrated and out of pocket, with no clear way to recoup the funds I am owed. I urgently need assistance and compensation for this error, as this situation is causing me significant stress and financial strain. I hope for a swift resolution to this problem.

Hello,
I recently reported a Kindle device (Serial Number: 90D5 2[redacted] 00NL) as stolen. Amazon informed me that the device was deactivated due to being reported as lost or stolen. The seller on OfferUp claims she never registered the device, but it was already tied to an Amazon account. I kindly request a refund for the purchase and ask for an investigation into the seller's profile. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Christina

I have made multiple attempts to reach your team without success. The lack of response is unacceptable. I shipped two packages which were not marked as delivered despite the recipients confirming receiving them. Consequently, I have not received payment. I need to understand what caused this issue - was it an error with the shipping labels provided? The situation is causing significant inconvenience, and your prompt attention is necessary to resolve it. Please respond to my emails addressing this matter. I am willing to provide any necessary account information or evidence to support my claim. Your assistance in reimbursing me for this problem is greatly appreciated.

I recently sold a set of three chairs for $[redacted], but due to a miscommunication with my husband, he mistakenly told me the buyer paid $[redacted]. When I received the correct amount, I realized my mistake. While at nursing school, I changed the price on OfferUp to $[redacted] and marked the chairs as sold. Now, the buyer believes I'm being deceptive since the selling price is incorrect. How can I rectify this misunderstanding and change the sold price back to $[redacted] even though the transaction has already been marked as complete?

I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S9 from a lady in River Grove who assured me the phone was paid for with a clean IMEI. After meeting her and inspecting the phone, I paid $[redacted].00 and happily took it home. I later spent $60.00 on transferring my data and bought accessories. When I tried to unlock it with T-Mobile, I was informed the phone had outstanding payments. The seller initially ignored my messages but offered a refund once I mentioned involving the police. However, I am upset because I've spent additional money on accessories and services, and I cannot return them. I feel deceived and unsure how to proceed, as the seller only wants to refund the phone cost. Our interactions on OfferUp detail her misrepresentation, and I'm seeking assistance.

Last week, I sold 5 identical items to a buyer in New York. The combined weight exceeded 20 lbs, so I had the buyer purchase each item separately through five separate OfferUp posts to obtain unique shipping labels. One of the items arrived broken, and I contacted the buyer to resolve the issue. I cancelled one item, reposted it at a discounted price, and had the buyer make an offer to generate an additional shipping label. Although I had 6 shipping labels in total, OfferUp's system only recognized 5. The extra label for the sixth item wasn't scanned by the post office as there was no corresponding package. OfferUp mistakenly cancelled a valid sale instead of disregarding the extra shipping label. I am having trouble contacting OfferUp for assistance, and I hope for a resolution.
