You can also dispute a charge through the app. Once logged in, look up your ride under Your Trips, select the ride that you wish to dispute, then click "I would like a refund" and then select the reason for the refund request.
The issue in GetHuman-czchen's own words
I was quoted $** for a Lyft ride home yesterday (****). The driver took us on a lengthy route that is usually *.*mi on Google Maps instead of the usual *mi through the city (San Francisco). While this is acceptable, the ultimate route somehow took **mi instead of *.*mi, resulting in a HUGE upcharge -- I was ultimately charged $** instead of $*** based on my ride history, you can see how he took a very roundabout route AND went the wrong way (there's a major detour and u-turn), leading to me getting extremely carsick and the route taking MUCH longer than I'm used to. While this error can be overlooked (mistakes happen), I'm extremely angry and disappointed that Lyft has recently started previewing different prices than what it ultimately charges, without letting you know there will be a surge pricing. ON the same day (March **), I was charged $**.** for a ride that was shown to be $** without any warning. **I am strongly considering cancelling my LyftPass altogether after these two terrible experiences.
GetHuman-czchen did not yet indicate what Lyft should do to make this right.
