Hello,* *This is regarding my travel on *********. **Today was one of my worst experiences with any ride service ever. I wanted to go from work to home quickly given it was valentine, a * km distance which I can walk in **-** minutes.* *As you probably well know (based an automatically generated email from Lyft saying "We are sorry!"), indeed a number of drivers canceled on me. For e.g. I waited for the first driver for at least ** minutes (initial estimate was ** min or sth), and once it was almost getting close to my pick up, suddenly you switched to another driver that again I would have to wait for another ** min or so.* *Given the fact that the whole point I wanted to take Lyft was to try to get home early for Valentine, I went online hoping to learn how to cancel my ride. Online, it suggested that if I cancel, I would be charged. I was trying to find some phone number to contact you to explain my situation, but I could not find any phone number contact info for Lyft online or through your app.* *ONE MORE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: I was supposed to be picked up from a hospital (my work place). I noticed the traffic through the hospital and near the entrance was insane. So in order to save time, I texted the driver through your app saying that I am walking to closest intersection on his way towards the hospital, so he wouldn’t have to enter the hospital grounds. He picked me up at the proposed spot. However, your app did not allow him to accept that he has picked me up. So the driver actually had to drive into the hospital grounds and to the proposed pick up spot (literally less than ** m from where I met him), just to be able to accept having picked me up. But then we got badly stuck in the hospital ground traffic which really postponed our trip by quite a bit.* *You can probably see that I have used lyft for almost all my travel requirements. But this experience was absolutely terrible. I feel I should be compensated for this. Not only you wasted my time, it took more than ** min to travel * km. I could have taken the bus (and indeed so many buses passed as I was watching them in envy) and I would have been home in ** min. I could have walked and I would have been home in ** min max. * *I took Lyft to make it home early for my valentine’s day surprise, and YOU RUINED IT.* *If I am to continue with Lyft, I expect more than an automated message saying sorry.* *Arman.
