I took Lyft twice this weekend and had the same issue with the app on both trips. On Friday, August **, I took Lyft from my home at ** Lawrence Street in Boston to Dorchester, MA. I had two suitcases with me that made me less mobile than being empty handed. Instead of telling the driver to pick me up on Lawrence Street, the app directed the driver to Chandler Street, which is one street over. I am not sure where the mistake is. At least I could communicate with the driver, who picked me up where I was standing. *On Saturday, August ** I hailed Lyft from the corner of State Street*Long Wharf and Atlantic Ave. facing South, where I was heading anyway. Again, the app ignored my location and directed me to go to *** Milk Street. The locations did not make sense, since it made the driver go around the block to go to my destination, passing my original location. When carrying suitcases, it is not that convenient to go to the location dictated by the app! In both cases the driver should pick me up where I am standing. Obviously, it is not the drivers’ issue, since they follow their instructions. It is the app that is at fault in both cases.*The app knows my location and dictates an irrational pick up spot, which is not editable!
GetHuman-elisegev did not yet indicate what Lyft should do to make this right.
