Hi, I had a strange experience with a driver who canceled on me at Dulles Airport less than an hour ago. The record of this seems to have disappeared from the app, so I don't know the name for sure, although I think it was Javid, or the license plate number, but he was supposed to be driving a yellow Camry hybrid. I was waiting where everyone else was at Door *. It's dark because there's no cover on the driveway, and no lighting. I waited and looked at all the cars going by, but didn't see him. After a while Lyft tells me that the car is there, but still I see nothing. I called him, and nobody picked up. I called again, nothing. I finally I saw a beige (not at all yellow) car down nearer to Door *, so I walk down there. The car is off by itself in the dark, kind of creepy. I said that I was trying to find him, but there were no yellow cars, he wasn't near Door * where other Lyft cars are picking up, and that I called twice and there was no answer. He said that his phone ringer was off (which makes it hard for anyone to contact him, no?) and that he was only allowed to wait in that one place, although it was not near Door * or where the signs said to pick up, or where I'm usually picked up at Dulles. This was a very strange experience. He said something about how I wasn't going to be happy with the ride and canceled, and drove off. I got a taxi, but I wasted a lot of time with this drama late at night after a long plane ride. This is probably not the experience that Lyft wants riders to have, I'm guessing? I'm not sure he's a good fit for the job.
GetHuman-boola did not yet indicate what Lyft should do to make this right.
