I am Star alliance gold member (United Mileage plus number EJ******). My Lufthansa flight **** from Naples Italy arrived late today (June ** ****) and I missed my connecting Lufthansa flight to Chicago O’hare. I called my employer’s travel agency and got rebooked to a later flight* that is, the LH*** flight from Munich to Newark for the very same day. They could not issue a boarding pass on the phone, so they told me to ask at the gate or at the Lufthansa service. I decided to ask at the gate give that the flight to Newark was about to depart.**A member of the airport of Munich stuff walked me and other passengers to the gate where the flight to Newark departed. I told this guy that i did not have a boarding pass but only a reservation. This person told me to not worry as they will issue a boarding pass for me based on my reservation at the gate. The person who checked my green card and passport could see my reservation on the flight to newark and let me in. She also confirmed that the personnel at the gate would have printed a boarding pass for me. I came to the gate and show my passport and the email sent my employer’s travel Agency and I was denied access to the aircraft because the lady at the gate could not find the ticket number from the email. Could she have used my name from my passport and her computer? The email from the travel agency I showed to her reported the airline check-in ID, which was ND*L*K. Could she have used this ID to find my reservation on her computer?**For this insanity I had to cancel two important meetings tomorrow morning. This insanity will impact my business pretty badly and this lady did not even apologize. I am very upset about what happened because if the person who checked my passport could find my reservation, how come the people at the gate could not. I had a reserved seat and that lady did not let me board to aircraft while the other passengers were allowed to boarding. It really liked like she did that because she did not feel like printing a boarding pass for me. I traveled the world and have never experienced anything like that. Treating customers like that is outrageous and totally unacceptable.**But it was not just that. This lady’ attitude at the gate was so rude that I am really considering to stop flying with Lufthansa. She dismissively told me “the flight is closed” without even look at me. I replied politely no please you cannot do that to me and she did not even replied to me. Unbelievable. I never seen anything like this.**I would never fly Lufthansa any more. Hopefully, these offensive and rude ways of dealing with passengers will be no longer tolerated.
