A while ago, I purchased two deals at around $*** ($*** total). I noticed that the deals were nearing expiration, so I attempted to trade them in for their full value - an option presented to me by the Groupon site. Unfortunately, the system to trade in coupons was glitching (the Groupon site itself) and sending me to a blank page every time I tried to trade them in. Because of this trouble, my coupons expired without my having a chance to trade them in or use them for their original deal. When I contacted support originally, they were able to give me Groupon bucks for the full amount that I paid: $***. The operator, however, did not explain to me that I only had ** hours to redeem my Groupon bucks. Because of this lack of communication, my bucks were converted back to expired coupons. When I tried to chat with an operator about the issue earlier today, they ended the chat instead of pursuing the problem. As of right now, I feel like Groupon has managed to scam me out of $***, when all I am asking is for full transparency about the deal I was originally offered. I understand that it has been a significant period of time since the coupons expired, but given the circumstances (a glitch on the Groupon site, as well as unclear instructions from Groupon support staff), I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with someone who won't simply close out of the chat instead of addressing my questions.
