The issue in GetHuman-hrchumbl's own words
My travel date was Tuesday *****. Leaving Philadelphia, going to Springfield Pa the *:** pm bus.*I am ** years old with arthritis. ticket ********** I purchased my ticket on line and somehow messed up and got a eticket. I did not know how to pull it up on my phone. When I got to the station I found the ticket person rude and said he could not help me. His tone was you are less than ****. Fortunately a security guard showed me how. ** I then had to deal with other employees yelling and screaming about where to go or stand or what bus was where. Not one not one person would answer a question boarding information. Keep in mind instructions were not clear, and the terminal was crowed and noisy. But the staff members where so rude and mean I mean they were mean and treated consumers like trash.* Next, they needed two buses and you had to get in one line to find how what line and by then my ticket had left my phone and I had trouble pulling it up again. Again i was talked down to and treated like I was a dumb bell that was in the way. ** I finally get to the bus and I did not have the ticket for the bagage the person told me to over there - I asked where and the answer was over there. So I asked several other staff (about three or four) and one finally told me the ticket office. I got there and the lady told me she was busy. I told her the bus was getting ready to leave. She said what she was doing was important. I was so frustrated I started to cry when I could not stop - she gave me the tags for my bags. I go to get on the bus and the bus driver is fussing. * One of the reasons I though I could ride the bus was the advertisement of leg room. The only seat left by now was with a taller person who needed a seat and half, so I had a half seat until the bus got to Baltimore. If it was not for the arm rest I would have fallen off the seat.* I did talk with another passenger who said they were treated the same way. (The driver did get friendly once we left *Phila. ) * My concern is why does the staff dehumanize people? I know it was a busy day - but it was obvious this was normal behavior. At one time Greyhound had high quality -WHAT HAPPENED? Just because a person rides the bus does not mean tey are of low quality and should be treated as the same.** Also, why do you advertise leg room when there is none. Had I known this, medically, I would not have taken the bus.**Lastly, this was not my concern but I think you should know, on the return, in Balitmore the PA system might have been off. There was a women who kept screaming out the the information and sometimes a an would be screaming the information at the same time. * It was so awful. i WOULD LEAVE THE BUILDING. One of the times I returned another customer was saying to her stop being so rude. The employee started getting smart. Someone stepped in. The consumer left but the employee kept running her month. **Is the staff strained on customer Service or how to handle difficult days. Please please let the staff know especially in Philadelphia - PEOPLE WHO RIDE GREYHOUND ARE NOT TRASH
