I'm visiting Atlanta, Georgia from Miami, Florida. Upon arriving, I encountered an unfortunate incident where all my cards and belongings were stolen. After someone sent me cash through MoneyGram, I attempted to purchase a Green Dot card worth $[redacted] from CVS to pay for a hotel. Unfortunately, I'm facing issues activating the card as it shows as unavailable or not recognized. Despite reaching out to CVS for help, they were unable to assist me. At the moment, I urgently need to activate this card so I can secure accommodation. I've been forced to sleep in the park due to these challenges, and it's been a very difficult situation for me.

I contacted Green Dot at 1-[redacted] on Saturday, October 20, regarding an issue with my old card. The representative blocked my old card and issued a new one. I confirmed my new address twice. I was supposed to receive the new card by October 24, [redacted]. Since then, there have been over 6 calls with conflicting information. Today, I received my new card via FedEx, but now my account and card are blocked, leaving me unable to access my funds. I uploaded my driver's license on Friday as requested. I need the block removed. I cannot pay my phone bill, so the corporate office cannot reach me at the listed cell number. The card ending in [redacted] that I received today via FedEx is in my possession, and I request the block on my account to be lifted. My ID was emailed to [redacted]

I used my Green Dot card to pay for a one-time Straight Talk phone refill for a family member last month. However, Straight Talk charged my card again this month without my authorization. I spoke with their customer service for over 3 hours to try and cancel the pending transaction, but they processed it anyway and advised me to dispute it with Green Dot. Now, I can't get through to a live support person to file a dispute immediately. I want Straight Talk to initiate a chargeback and refund my money to my card promptly. I'm frustrated that Green Dot couldn't stop the unauthorized transaction upon my request, making the support system ineffective.

I've had a Green Dot card for over a year and recently switched to a cash back card. I was informed by a representative that if I receive over $1,[redacted] in monthly Direct deposits, the $9.95 fee would be waived. This has been the case in the past. However, when I spoke with account Supervisor Ann, she mentioned it's a one-time process only. If this is accurate, Green Dot has misled me and does not uphold its own policy. They charge a $9.95 monthly fee, a $2.50 ATM transaction fee per transaction, plus additional ATM fees. There are no free ATMs in Chicago, IL, making it impractical to use this card over my personal bank account. Without the fee waiver, I would end up paying $[redacted] annually in fees to receive only $[redacted] cash back, which is not a good deal. I feel compelled to share this policy with others on social media and other platforms. I plan to leave a review on Yelp and submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. After this month, I intend to cancel all my Green Dot cards.

I lost my card, cancelled it, and paid $5 for a new one. Then I paid $15 for expedited shipping via FedEx. However, when I tried to activate the card, they requested a copy of my ID via email. My SSI funds, crucial for paying rent due now, are in that account. I've been informed this goes against the law, and it has happened before, causing me to lose my home. I am now pursuing legal action. I encourage others to do the same. Green Dot needs to treat its customers better. My name is Brian G., you can reach me at [redacted]. Please contact me by 2:00 pm PT. My email is [redacted]

I lost my card and had to cancel it. I paid $5 for a replacement and an extra $15 for three-day shipping via FedEx. However, when I tried to activate the new card, they requested a copy of my ID through email. My SSI benefits, crucial for rent, go into this account, and my rent is due soon. I've been advised by both a law firm and the social services department that withholding government funds is illegal. This has happened to me before, resulting in losing my place. I am now pursuing legal action. Green Dot's lack of concern for their customers is unacceptable. I encourage others to stand up as well. My name is Brian G., and I can be reached at [redacted]. Green Dot, please contact me before 2:00 pm PT. Email communication preferred at [redacted] I just want what is rightfully mine.

Hello, I am inquiring about the whereabouts of my payroll net direct deposit funds. I recently completed a payroll direct deposit form with my employer, the director of the daycare facility where I work. I received my payment on the 26th of October as expected. However, despite following instructions to check my card for the deposit, it has not shown up. I have been contacting my card provider continuously since the payment date without success. I am uncertain if there is an issue with my card or if I may have completed the direct deposit form incorrectly. I am seeking assistance in locating the destination of my funds. Thank you for any help you can provide.

My account is currently locked, and my experience with customer service has been unpleasant. They refuse to refund my balance, leaving me unsure of why my account is locked with no detailed explanation provided. The representative mentioned I agreed to these terms upon card acceptance, but I believe I should still be able to access my funds. After calling the main customer service number, I was instructed to email a copy of my ID for verification but struggle to locate the appropriate email address. Upon following up, I was informed that they are waiting for my documentation, and I am unable to speak with another representative regarding my issue. I seek further clarification on the reason for my account lock and guidance on how to retrieve my funds.

I recently purchased a GreenDot MasterCard at my local Giant Food market for $20. I registered the card, but encountered an issue as I received three different codes via text message and mistakenly entered the wrong one. This has caused my card to not be registered to my address, preventing me from making any purchases. Although I contacted customer support and requested to have my card registered to my address to make it permanent, I was informed that this was not possible. Additionally, I tried to transfer the balance to another GreenDot card but was unsuccessful. I am frustrated and disappointed with the service provided. If someone could assist me in linking my address to the card or transferring the balance to another card, it would greatly improve my experience. Thank you.

I noticed an unauthorized payment debited from my account for an upgrade in services. Even though the company assured me of a $26 refund, I called Greendot to confirm the reversal, which hadn't been processed. During the call, I requested a new card, mentioning that my current one might have been used without my consent. The Greendot representative mentioned checking my account balance before issuing a new card as I had over $[redacted], but I insisted on the card replacement. After updating my address, I received the new card, but it was blocked. I struggled to contact anyone for help and couldn't activate it. I then discovered the card had a new routing number, affecting my Social Security direct deposit. Additionally, I'm facing challenges getting a new state ID, compounding the financial strain.

I recently received an email on 10-15-18 informing me that money was deposited onto my card. When I tried to withdraw the funds, the card was blocked. Despite sending in all the necessary verification documents several times, my card remains blocked. As a result, I urgently need the block lifted so I can access the money, especially since my housing situation is dire. My children (ages 10, 5, and 1) and I are at risk of homelessness unless I can pay for our room today. I am requesting Green Dot to unblock my card immediately. If they fail to do so, I believe they should compensate me for the distress and inconvenience caused by this situation. My name is Annette Ortega, born on 03/09/75, and the last four digits of my social security number are [redacted]. My address is [redacted] E Abriendo Ave, Pueblo, CO [redacted].

My name is Christina Koontz. I lost my Walmart MoneyCard and reported it as lost. A new card was issued to me, but when I tried to activate it, I was asked to upload a picture of my ID front and back to unblock the card. However, it has been more than the promised two days, and my card is still blocked. I have four children to support, bills to pay, and my disability funds are on that card. I have been unsuccessful in reaching anyone for assistance, and I am desperate for a resolution as I need access to my funds to avoid losing everything. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will have to consider involving my lawyer, canceling my account, and seeking services elsewhere. This situation is causing great disruption in my life, and I hope for a swift resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

My card was unexpectedly blocked after receiving SSI funds for a friend without a bank account. I have submitted my ID, and my friend is doing the same. I wasn't informed about additional verification requirements during my last call when inquiring about my balance. I need this matter resolved promptly as my friend depends on these funds for her child's expenses. I have contacted [redacted] multiple times, providing our IDs. Urgent assistance is needed. Thank you.

Please assist me in resolving the issue with my blocked card. I have a misprint related to a transaction on October 27th, where a friend tried to give me a Green Pack soda to help me with bills. I do not have the receipt, so I am requesting the last 4 digits of the Moneypak to sort this out and possibly unlock my account. The balance on my account is $[redacted], and I am not sure what happened. Please contact me at [redacted] or on my account's phone number [redacted]. Could you please provide assistance and call me back at [redacted]? My card number ends in [redacted], and the Moneypak was for $[redacted]. The account is under Kelli B., and my address is [redacted] East Clay Avenue, Fresno, California [redacted]. Thank you.

I am experiencing difficulties uploading my card. I have attempted it nine times without success. When I tried to request a refund, my calls kept dropping. I am frustrated that I cannot speak with a representative to explain my situation. Additionally, there seems to be someone on Facebook impersonating your company and attempting to obtain my card details. This has left me feeling uncertain about the legitimacy of your business. I am unsure if the provided address is even associated with your company. I simply seek a refund for the funds I loaded onto a Green Dot card, as I am unable to utilize it. Your prompt assistance in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Mrs. Hil-Wassi

I purchased a Walmart Visa card through Green Dot Bank. Unfortunately, they closed my card with money still on it due to unfamiliar transactions. I have tried to reach a representative without success, as I keep getting cut off by the automated service. Recently, I made a hotel reservation at the Inn at Reading Hotel, where a $50 security deposit might have triggered this issue. I have already contacted your customer service team and provided all necessary information, expecting a response within two business days. However, I have yet to receive any updates. I would appreciate it if you could kindly reach out to me at your earliest convenience. -Aaron

I am seeking assistance in registering my card without providing my social security number online. I have already loaded $[redacted] onto the card and would like a refund as I am concerned about online security. I have tried calling but the automated system requires me to register the card first. As a disabled veteran, this $[redacted] is important to me. I would appreciate a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Joshua T. I purchased a Green Dot prepaid Visa card at Walgreens in Baltimore City today. I've been struggling for hours to activate the card without any luck. The system claims the card number doesn't exist and the information I input doesn't match. I can't reach a representative either because the 16-digit card number isn't recognized. This is frustrating since I loaded $[redacted] onto the card plus a $1.95 fee. I urgently need this fixed as I intended to use it for bill payments. Others seem to be facing similar issues with zero or negative balances after loading money. It's extremely challenging to get help over the phone as the system doesn't recognize my details. I provided the card number, CVV, and other necessary details. Please assist me in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you.

I purchased two prepaid cards - one Visa and one MasterCard - at Kilgore Walmart in Texas. The Visa card's last four numbers are [redacted]. I used a neighbor's phone to activate them but discovered one had very little money left and the other was empty when I checked the balance. Despite providing all requested information, dealing with rude individuals, and involving the police after suspecting my neighbor misused the cards without permission, I have not received my money back. I need assistance in resolving this issue promptly. The cards were obtained on April 30, [redacted], and I have followed all procedures. Please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you for your support.
