I was charged $70 for not returning the vehicle with a full tank of gas. The car was initially given to me with less than half a tank. It doesn't seem fair to be charged this fee when I wasn't provided with a full tank initially. Additionally, I was sent to the wrong location initially and had to take an Uber to another location. Furthermore, I was given the wrong vehicle. Thank you.

I experienced several issues when using this application. 1. The $20 discount from my friend was not applied. 2. I encountered trouble proceeding without signing in through Facebook, despite logging in with Google, leading to unwarranted access to my friend-related data. 3. I was unable to book a car through the app and later on the mobile web, forcing me to resort to using a computer. After spending 45 minutes attempting to make a reservation, I was unsuccessful. A friend had a positive experience with Getaround a few years back, while my recent encounter was disappointing. Kindly deactivate and eliminate my account associated with this email as well as any remnants of the app from my device. I have no intention of using it again, so please ensure this can be done without further logins.

I have been going through a tough time due to drama caused by someone named Omar and his associates, some of whom I believed were my friends. My account and rental were hacked by someone in that group. I am asking for an extension on my car rental and possibly financial assistance. I have extensive experience in customer service, retail photography, school photography, and some managerial roles. Despite my challenges, I remain positive and motivated to work hard. I am determined to overcome obstacles and stay inspired. Even though my friends have turned their backs on me, I aim to leave a positive impact on others. I trust in the beauty of life and always strive for personal growth. Your help would mean a lot to me as I navigate through these difficulties. I contacted your company last Friday after noticing unauthorized charges on my account from "Getaround." I disputed the charges with my bank, and they were initially reversed, but my bank informed me they were reinstated because your company confirmed the transactions. I have spoken with two of your agents, Chelsey and Precious, regarding this issue. On Saturday, I was assured that you would work with my bank to resolve these charges. However, when I checked with my bank today, they have not received any information from you yet. I am extremely upset by these fraudulent charges on my card, and I need this matter to be resolved urgently.

I reside near Marina Del Rey in Los Angeles, part of a community with three streets: La Villa Marina, Admiral Avenue, and Fiji Way. Lately, we've noticed several Getaround vehicles parked on our streets, causing parking issues for residents, guests, and workers. I would like to address the issue of parking cars on residential streets in Los Angeles, specifically in Townhome complexes east of Marina Del Rey. The current situation is challenging for residents, guests, and tradesmen who require parking space for their vehicles while working on homes. The affected streets are La Villa Marina south of Mindanao Way, Admiral Ave west of La Villa Marina, and Fiji Way east of Lincoln Blvd. Your cooperation in refraining from parking cars on these streets would be greatly appreciated. On July 1st, when I tried to book a trip at 2:00, the car wasn't where it was supposed to be, and my order was canceled. I ended up having to travel 45 minutes away for another car, which then had a brake issue after driving just 2 miles. I attempted to book another car at the same location, but the agents took over 2 hours on the phone with me and couldn't help. They ended up booking three different cars, charging me over $[redacted], leaving me stranded for hours. I eventually got a car but couldn't extend the rental due to lack of funds caused by the charges. They towed the car, keeping my money. I have health issues and had a distressing experience. I demand a resolution and a refund immediately. If not, I will seek legal assistance. I expect a prompt response.

Around 2:00, the car was not where it was supposed to be, so they canceled the order and placed another one for a trip 45 minutes away. Despite being 35 minutes from home, I had to go to another car location. After traveling there, I drove the car, but after 2 miles, it went into brake mode. We returned it and tried to book another car at the same spot, but the agents took over 2 hours on the phone with me without letting me rent that car. They ended up booking three different cars, charging my card over $[redacted]. I had to wait 6 to 7 hours for a resolution. Eventually, I got another car and was charged for an extension since I had no more money due to the previous charges. They had to tow the car back when they would not refund my money. It was unfair, especially since I have kidney problems and had a difficult day.

I recently rented a car from Getaround and unfortunately, it broke down on my way back from out of town, preventing me from extending the rental as planned. I needed to return to San Jose to retrieve a check, which I intended to use to extend the rental. I had planned to have the car towed back to San Francisco where I initially picked it up. The car contained personal and valuable items worth over $[redacted], including essential items such as my laptop, social security cards, and bank cards. However, the car was towed without my permission, and I have not been contacted by the owner as promised. It has been almost a month, and I am still without my belongings and have even had to drop out of school because of the situation. I am at a loss and unsure of what steps to take next, as I simply want my possessions back.

I experienced several issues with the Getaround App recently. Initially, I had trouble connecting it to my Facebook account on my cell phone, so I had to use my wife's phone for pickup and dropoff. Around 2 am, I couldn't extend the car rental time due to login difficulties on my phone. While filling the tank before returning the car, I encountered starting problems, which prevented me from completing the trip. I had to start a new trip to input fuel details and completed this step. Subsequently, I paid a late fee, but upon checking my bank statement, I noticed multiple $50 late fees. There were additional charges for Passthrough Gas ($62.22 and $75). This was my first time using the app, and I hope you can take into consideration the challenges I faced.

On Friday, August 20th, I rented a vehicle from GETAROUND, but my app would not end the trip as it usually does. I contacted customer service to ask for assistance to avoid a $50 fee for not ending the trip properly. Despite explaining that the car was parked at the correct location, the representative asked for a picture which I couldn't provide as I was already at a Courtyard Marriott hotel and could not go back. The representative assured me they would contact the owner to resolve the issue. However, upon checking, I noticed a $50 late fee, which I disputed via email with proof of my location. To my dismay, I discovered an additional unjustified $[redacted] late fee later on. This situation needs to be rectified promptly as it is unfair and incorrect.

I am having trouble reaching you by phone and email with no response. I believe I was overcharged. I encountered issues logging into the App on my phone and got stuck in a loop trying to connect to my Facebook account. The car stopped working at 2:15 am after I stopped at a gas station to fill up. I tried to extend my time with the van when my friend arrived with her phone, but the app didn't show the option to do so or end my trip. I filled up the tank and have the trip information with photos of the full tank and parked car. I feel the app malfunctioned, causing these issues. I am requesting a refund for the overcharges listed. Thank you.

Dear Getaround Team, I am writing to address an issue with my recent car rental from owner Tobias Ford in Germany. The problem revolves around my driving license as I hold a German resident permit but currently reside in Cameroon, only visiting Germany occasionally. I am now back in Cameroon waiting for a new visa after losing my documents upon arrival. I have informed the car owner about this. Regarding the pending payment of [redacted] euros, it will be settled in the next few days since my account was empty when the payment was attempted, but I will make the payment promptly once my Getaround app restrictions are lifted. 1) I had initially reserved a car for 8.5 hours (starting at 9:30am and ending at 6pm). Unfortunately, the car was not available, and an agent rebooked a different car for me. The new reservation was set from 10:45am to 7:15pm, matching the original 8.5-hour duration. I believe I should not be charged the $50 late fee, as the agent provided me with the incorrect end time of 7:15pm. I kindly request a refund for this charge. 2) Additionally, due to the change in rental location, the agent mentioned that Getaround would compensate for the Uber rides to and from the alternative rental place. The rental car I used was damaged. Get Around deducted $[redacted] from my account without prior notice or my permission. They only provided an invoice after I asked for it. I was not informed about the amount they would charge. When I tried to rent a car again, I was informed that my account is being reviewed. A few months ago, my partner rented a car from Getaround and I returned it to the designated location. Unfortunately, we both have the same phone model and color. After dropping him off, he accidentally took my phone, causing some confusion when we tried to unlock them. We realized the mix-up, but by then I was already 15 minutes away. He had to use my phone to access the car quickly to avoid wasting time and money. Since then, my Getaround account appears to be blocked or frozen. I cannot access my account to use the service myself. I need assistance with resolving this matter promptly.

I recently noticed unauthorized withdrawals from my bank account to Get Around, even though I don't have an account with you. I suspect my son's girlfriend, Olivia Fragoso Huerta, used my debit card information to rent a car through your service without my consent. I have evidence of these transactions on my bank statements. I am prepared to take legal action if necessary to resolve this issue and protect myself from further unauthorized charges. I used Getaround to rent a car for driving Uber. This was my first time driving for Uber in a while, and I encountered several technical issues. Firstly, the "Uber kit" promised by Getaround, which included a phone mount, was missing from the car. This led to wasted time looking for essential items at night. Secondly, I had to extend my trip to earn enough to cover the rental cost. Thirdly, Uber did not allow me to cash out immediately as expected, leaving me unable to afford gas due to the trip extension. Consequently, I faced multiple charges including the original deposit, trip fee, extension fee, gas fee, and late fee as I couldn't refill before returning the car. I wasn't able to reach customer service for assistance or receive my deposit back. This experience has been overwhelming, and I need assistance to resolve these issues before considering working under these conditions again. Your help is greatly appreciated.

The car I rented from Getaround had numerous issues. Despite sending a request and an email late at night detailing the problems, I received no response. Eventually, the car was towed by Getaround. I am very disappointed with the lack of communication regarding these issues. I am requesting a full refund for the rental. The car had low tire pressure which led to a flat tire, overheating, and was found to have no fluid in the reservoirs. I also need to retrieve all my belongings from the car.

Regarding Suspended Account: I recently had my account suspended by GetAround due to a late car return. The situation unfolded when my phone was stolen from the GetAround vehicle while I was inside a store. I spent time searching for my phone and then coordinating with someone who had access to locate it using "find my phone." Unfortunately, during these efforts, the car I had rented became overdue. Leading up to this incident, I frequently noticed smashed windows on the GetAround vehicles I rented. One night, I encountered all vehicles in the parking lot with missing windows and reported this to GetAround by providing them with photos as requested. The parking lot was in a dark and desolate area of Oakland, CA, which made me nervous as I was alone. Despite my concerns about safety, I complied with their request and returned home. Throughout these challenges, I also had difficulties with reimbursement for transportation and experienced loss of income due to missed work hours. Despite my efforts, the compensation received was only partial, which left me frustrated. Given these circumstances, I believe my late car return following the phone theft should have been understood by the company, especially considering the risks I took to assist them. Upon discovering my suspension, I felt disheartened and hope to have it lifted. GetAround is a valuable service for me, especially as one of the few hourly Uber rental options available. Aside from the issues I faced, I genuinely appreciated the service and recommended it to others. I kindly request the reinstatement of my account as I rely on GetAround to drive again. With the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, I aim to resume driving and would greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue using your service. Thank you for considering my request.
