What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?

If you need to cancel your reservation with Getaround, you can do so without incurring any cancellation fees up to 24 hours before the start of your reservation. However, if you cancel within 24 hours of the reservation start time, you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the rental cost. The remaining 50% will be refunded to your original method of payment. To cancel, simply go to your reservations page on the Getaround website or app and click on the "Cancel reservation" button. Please note that cancelling a reservation within one hour of the start time will result in the full rental cost being charged. We understand that plans can change, so we aim to provide flexibility while ensuring fairness to both renters and car owners.
