The issue in GetHuman-mhshelle's own words
I acquired an Alta thru John Hancock Vitality in Oct. ****. The band started coming unhinged and was replaced under warranty in Sept ****. The replacement band has now started coming unhinged, and the band falls off my arm frequently (now I have taped it together). I spoke with your customer service and was informed that the replacement band was not under warranty and I would need to purchase another one. I understand the warranty policy, but it is very frustrating to have * bands break, one in only * months. My wife and daughter-in-law have had the same issue with theirs, which leads me to believe it is a faulty design. I have no desire to interchange bands--so the problem is one that is caused by a design that does not interest me anyway. I realize that nothing will last forever, but to personally have * bands break in ** months seems problematic. I wear my Alta all the time, except for showering--and I am careful with it. I could avoid wearing it at night, but it's designed to help me track my sleep. Thank you for considering my concerns.
