Help with my First Direct issue

I either owe you an apology, or I have a problem with my account.*APOLOGY: I am very aware of my interst-free limit of £*** and always TRY to stay within it, but not always succesfuly.*PROBLEM: We are in France visiting my wife's family and our friends, for which I pay for all the petrol.*Even allowing for renewal of the car insurance earlier in Nov, I thought I would have enough to cover our costs until of my next two pension payments (today and tommorow).*However, I was surprised to find yesterday that my card was blocked, both at a supermarket checkout and an ATM. That had never happened before, making me assume that my £*** limit had been passed by an excessive amount.*I checked this morning and, although I could not see my current balance, I was able to withdraw E**.** from an ATM.*As we are still due to visit other family members beyond Xmas, I would be VERY grateful if you could examine my acount and let me know your conclusions.*For security reasons, I do not bring my secure thingies with me when overseas, not having needed use them previously.*Would suggest that I now do so?*With many thanks for any info and advice you can offer.
