someone contacted me on facebook and began a conversation with me. It was a normal conversation at first but the person then turned it sexual and sent me explicit pictures. I was hesitant but made the mistake of flirting back at which point it became apparent they were a fake account and were attempting to scam me, they threatened to ruin my life by sending screenshots and images of me to my friends*family claiming that they had downloaded my friends list. I stalled with them as i searched how to report and block the account and eventually did block and report the account, however the next day another account began messaging my family members asking about me. I rang my local police and reported the attempted scam to which they asked me to try and provide them with screenshots, in order to do this i clicked on the conversation with the person that had attempted to scam me when my facebook and messenger suddenly logged me out and gave me the message that my account had been disabled. The police are aware of this and believe I was either hacked or they had the fake profiles report me. I also launched an appeal to facebook and I have already stated this exact thing before but I was told that the decision to disable my account was final and permanent and that they could not give me reasons why due to safety and security reasons. I am the victim of an attempted scam and all I have done is report and block the profile and now for some reason my account has been permanently disabled meaning I can no longer contact my friends*family*colleagues etc and have lost valuable pictures of my life experiences as well as not being able to provide the police with evidence of this attempted scam. I really do not know what do say or do now as i cannot create an account or log back in and feel that as I am the victim of this I have been unjustly punished.
