December **, *****Expedia HQ * Expedia Cruise Ship Centers*Washington State**Greetings! I have a situation that requires attention on your end that needs to be resolved. I NEED A REFUND. Specifics and information follow.*I, Melissa Atkinson Brazis, signed up at Expedia Cruise Center, Petaluma, CA and gave GM James Murphy $*** for training and to work there after the training ended. Expedia corporate has debited $***month for approx. ** months for business cards and being on the server*agent site, but I never used these services. Mr. James Murphy, GM, Petaluma, CA Expedia Cruise Ship Center and I agree about that.*After I paid Mr. Murphy the required $*** deposit in good faith, I had over a year of serious health issues and hospitalization and surgeries, along with two family members passing away which has been difficult at best. I sustained another injury and tore two ligaments in my hand and shoulder, affecting movement, gripping, lifting and the demands required at work. My orthopedist has told me I cannot work at this time, including working as an Expedia Cruise Ship agent, due to my physical limitations. *I was in contact with staff many times at the Petaluma, CA Expedia Cruise Ship Center office during this very difficult year, updating them on my progress. I contacted Mr. James Murphy, GM-Petaluma, and we discussed my situation and the steps involved with getting a REFUND. He and I concur that because I NEVER USED THE ON-LINE EXPEDIA SERVER*ACCOUNT FOR AGENTS, NEVER DID THE AGENT TRAINING REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB, NEVER GOT BUSINESS CARDS THROUGH EXPEDIA (@$***mo), THE MONIES I PAID TO EXPEDIA*CRUISE SHIP CENTER NEED TO BE RETURNED TO ME IN FULL ASAP. *I would like to have an accounting as to the number of months Expedia debited my checking account for services that I never used, as well as the dates debiting my account begun and ended. Petaluma, CA GM James Murphy told me that there had been communication from Expedia Corporate to him around August, ****, about the fact the $** was being debited from my checking account monthly, but HAD NEVER BEEN USED. He told me that the account given me was deleted*terminated in August, ****, and the $***month charges should be stopped for LACK OF USE. I am sorely disappointed that this exciting job situation did not come to fruition as we had planned. I just want to clear this up quickly. *This is not complicated* it is a very clear-cut issue that can be easily resolved. By my calculations, Expedia need to reimburse me for the $*** DEPOSIT and for all funds deducted from my checking account for the on-line account. I am not requesting any of the interest Expedia accrued on my initial $*** DEPOSIT, just the deposit itself. There is no reason that this refund demand should not be honored in full and expediently by Expedia because I have not availed myself of training, cards, services, office space, on-line benefits or anything involved with Expedia Cruise Ship Centers.
