I just received an email from DoorDash apologizing saying that my order never arrived because I was unable to be contacted and that I wasn’t here when the dasher arrived. I actually was here when the dasher arrived and the restaurant did contact me repeatedly letting me know that the order was ready and the dasher hadn’t arrived yet. The website had crashed and I tried to get back on several times on my phone and computer but I could not get onto the app or website. The dasher ended up showing up an hour after the scheduled delivery time and expressed the same troubles that I had had with the app, he was a great dasher and apologized for being late even though it wasn’t his fault at all. The food was an hour late and it wasn’t the driver’s fault and I was here, the fault was with the app and the site crashing. By the time the food got here it was cold and my lunch break was over so I had to rush to eat. I just wanted to give the feedback to let you know it was frustrating for both me and the dasher who delivered the food, and that it was because the site totally crashed. With that said, I do feel that a refund for the order would be a reasonable request. Thank you for understanding.
