Buy a bike as advertised ... Fraudulent add on craigslist re:*Specialized rockhopper bike for sale $** needs TLC * *** ***-**** in Petaluma*Text or email * Yesterday June *, **** , I texted the phone number and we agreed to come see the bike at * pm. After driving ** minutes I received a text saying "don't bother, I have to remove the listing" I then called and was told the bike was not for sale, the seller did not want to sell and had removed the bike. Since I was **% of the way there, I continued driving to the address I was given. No one answered the doorbell or knocking. I left a note expressing that it was fraud to offer something for sale then "change your mind", while someone has already driven ** % of the way to the agreed location. I would like this seller removed from selling on craigslist again, or sell me the bike as advertised. It is a gross waste of my time and money to come see something advertised on craigslist only to find the seller "Changed his mind".
I wasted more than an hour driving to come see this bike. Then when I am almost there I get a text not to bother to come. Then the person won't even answer the doorbell or knocking When we have an appointment at *
They could make this right by selling me the bike as agreed. Or being blocked from further selling on craigslist because of this fraudulent transaction.
I have been a customer for more than a decade with craigslist, both buying and selling. I expected to see the boke offered for sale as we had agreed.
Went to the appointment at * pm as agreed. knocked on the door, rang the doorbell Left a note. No response to any of the above actions.
