The issue in GetHuman-dotakena's own words
I shopped at the Fountain Valley store on ****** around **am. I had ** items. Like I always do for years, I make sure all the barcodes are facing up in the cart, no items are covered or under another item. At the counter, I just push the cart up to cashier and say no boxes, just scan. I pay and leave the counter in * mins. But Saturday the cashier insisted I put all the items on the counter. When I said I always do that, he said some cashiers allow that and some don't. So I went to another cashier, who just scanned and I was done. My friends said they thought Costco was customer oriented, instead of the worker telling the customer what he preferred, especially since I wasn't asking for anything difficult. If this happens again I want to know how should I handle the situation. Can I insist he scan from my cart? And if he refuses can I call a manager?Unfortunately I did not get his name.
