Hi*I had a terrible experience with Booking.com on **** and was told to submit my receipt for a refund up to $***.**. I submitted as requested but I have not heard anything from the company yet. My booking number is ********** and I stayed at The Portofino Hotel & Marina in Redondo Beach, CA *****. *You will notice I made reservations and hotel was full to capacity but your site said it was available so my reservation was confirmed. (I took a lyft to the hotel and back to the airport with a minor child) I called from the airport for the new reservation but it did not go well because when I called to confirm before taking the word of the agent again they told me they were booked. Each time the agent told me that she called the hotel to confirm but after making a wasted trip the first time I called. *Mind you to get a booking.com agent on the line took over ** minutes each time I had to call. Not to mention the dropped calls. *The next hotel emailed to me was not a place that I would take my minor child and me to. *This whole back and forth with Booking.com and the hotel took well over *.* hours. My son and I were left stranded at the LA airport with very little seating, very bad odors, low battery availability and a feeling of homelessness being in an area where we did not know anyone and had no hotel to go to. We did not get to our hotel until approximately *:**am while arriving at least * hours prior**I have never had such a terrible experience as with booking.com. *Meanwhile, I have not heard anything from your company regarding my refund. I hope this is not evidence of you all taking this situation lightly. Your site info does not state I would have to wait almost a month to be compensated for our great inconvenience.
