I received an email about a cancelled booking and contacted the hotel directly, as directed via the email from booking.com. I was able to get the room for the same rate. Only to find out that I was charged twice for the same transaction! This is absolutely unacceptable. I am very upset with booking.com and the failure to properly conduct a simple one night stay at a hotel. I don't have the time to wait for this money to come back into my account before my bills are due. If my card was declined, as originally stated, why were they still able to complete the original transaction?**My last name is Terry, the booking was for ALOFT Boston Seaport Nov **-**.**I now have a reservation, that I made for that date, after contacting the hotel on my own. I would not have complained about this if I was charged only once. The issue is not with having a room, it is with the fact I was charged twice and told twice that the card was declined, even though it was clearly not...now I sit financially unstable until I am refunded. Please know this is not a business I would recommend.
