I purchased two service contracts for my Motorola phones. When I wanted the geek squad to fix some issues on my phones, I was told they needed to send them off, but I had to give them $**. What? I informed them I was never informed about a fee. They told me it was on my receipt. I told them I have never seen or held the receipt since the associate put it in the phone box. I left it there in case I ever needed it. They told me again I was informed because it was on the receipt. No, I was not told verbally. I was not shown the receipt so no,I was not informed. I told them if I was informed, I would not have purchased the plan. Who in their right mind spends $** for a service plan and another $** on fees when the phone only cost $***? Who would spend $*** in advance to replace a phone that isn't worth $***? (I checked) it is worth $** as a trade in ( I checked). I spoke to several people in your company on Saturday, and the best they would give me is a partial refund. I minimally deserve $*** back for the service contract for the two phones or $*** (plus tax) to honor the contract. I was Not informed of the fee. It is Best Buys responsibility to make sure I knew the information. You should have people have the Customer initial the fee on the receipt, so it is clear the customer was informed. I know it was new that week. I know your associate, a representative of Best Buy never informed me of this fee. I almost didn't get the service contract because I thought $** was too expensive, but since I have purchased a phone (twice) for face planting it, I sucked it up, but I never would have for another $** per phone. I tried to resolve this on Saturday. After speaking to at least ** different representatives I decided to write this email. I would like to be contacted about this situation.
