I went to the best buy in st albert to get a phone chip and set up a pay as you go plan on jan ** **** in the later morning. There was a blonde woman with glasses working, and i use the term working loosely since staff in the cell phone section were standing around visiting for the ** minutes i stood and waited to be acknowledged, so i started to tell her what i needed when she cut me off, handed me a sim card and told me to pay at the front because her till was " broken". I paid for the chip and top up card and went back and stood in line once again for another ** minutes before the same woman asked over the crowd from more than * feet away if i had ANOTHER question. I said i needed to have my phone set up now that i paid for everything. She scoffed and went back to whatever she was doing. Another * or * minutes go by and again from a distance away yells there is going to be a **.** charge if you make us set that up so you should just go and do it online somewhere. I said i had been to another store just a few months ago and it wasnt like that. Again she yells well there WILL be a charge if we have to do that here so you might as well go do it yourself. I turned to leave humiliated when she said laughing have a good day. So here is what ended up happening... I tried to use wifi to set it up. Something went wrong. I cant fix it. I wasted **.** and still have no phone. I dont have money to replace it and live out in the country. My car broke down a week ago and ive been laid off a while. I have no phone to try and get work so i can fix my car or do anything all because your employee couldnt take the time to be professional and deliver some customer service even after i purchased the chip and minutes there at that time. It may seem like nothing for money to her but thats a lot of money to me. I lost everything and trying to get back on my feet. I finally think i have a phone and because of a snotty bully of a woman i get kicked down again. I doubt anything at all will be done about this and its not like i can call anyone to complain but i wanted someone to know what is happening in that store.
