Recently a friend shared with me an email offer from AMEX and Delta for the Platinum Delta AMEX. He has spent over $**k on his card year to date and the offer was if he spent another $**k by year end he would receive an additional **k MQM’s for spending $**k in ****. I was interested in this offer as this would help me reach Platinum status on Delta for ****. **I called the phone number on the back of my AMEX and explained the situation. The representative said I would also get the additional **k MQM’s. I asked him if he was sure and if I could get a letter stating this. He did some additional research and said I was not eligible. I asked how this was fair and asked to speak to his supervisor. The supervisor told me this was a targeted offer. I said I felt my loyalty was being taken for granted given I’ve been a loyal customer of both AMEX and Delta since ****. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She told me her supervisor wasn’t in the office on the weekend and I would receive a call back on Monday. I believe it’s been three weeks and I’ve not heard back from AMEX nor did I receive a voicemail on the phone number I shared with the AMEX representative. **As stated above, for ** years I’ve been loyal to AMEX and Delta and to have an offer being made to a colleague who I convinced him to get the AMEX*Delta Platinum card and we received them at the same time about five years ago. I’m frustrated and disappointed in how I’ve been treated. **I have many credit cards and I use my AMEX first. I also have been loyal to Delta and have been Gold or Platinum status for several years.
