Good afternoon, my AA record locator is LFQNYA. Ticket * *************. I bought my airplane ticket through American Airlines from Austin, TX USA to Quito-Ecuador. I flew on ********. I brought * bags with me. I paid $** dollars for my second bag. The trip had * connections. The flight* *** from Miami to Guayaquil was delayed due to a leak in the restroom of the main cabin. Due to this delay I missed the last connection. American Airlines personal from the airport reschedule the last connection with Avianca for the ******** at *:** am, flight * ****. On December **th I was charge $** dollars for my second bag because the American Airline personnel that switched my flight didn't add that I could carry a second bag because I already paid for it in Austin, TX. I have the receipt. There wasn't anybody that could help me that morning because American Airlines Personnel where inside with a departing flight. I called American Airlines phone number and they said that I had to wait ** minutes to before they can help. The flight from Avianca was closing and if I didn't paid for the second bag I would miss that flight, so I paid $** for the second bag again. I would like you to issue a refund for that amount since I already paid for my second bag. I have the receipts *On my way back on ******** the first flight was operated by LATAM from UIO to GYE. I wanted to mention that I didn't buy the ticket with LATAM, I bought the ticket at American Airlines.com. I was bringing a second bag for which they charge me $***,**. They said that is what the system was charging and that they can not do anything about it. I would like a refund for this excessive charge since American Airlines personnel told me that they only charge $** for a second bag. American Airlines personnel told me to contact Customer relations so you can help me. American Airlines Personnel at the airport told me that they didn't understand why LATAM charged me with that unreasonable amount. This has been a stressful situation so I hope you can help me.
