Last month I was hacked by someone in Russia ( I think). They got into my gift card balance and took the money that was there. I notified Amazon and it was investigated. I believed the issue had been resolved because the money was put back into the gift card balance.* Today I checked because I was having more money added to the balance and I am back to *. I received gift cards in the following amounts on or about the following dates. **.** added today and that one is currently showing. * The missing gift cards : **.** added *** : *.** added *** : **.** added ***. **I have several questions: Why is this happening? What*How are they getting access to take the money? What can I do? *Last time they went in and changed my email address and gave a new one. I was notified by email and went and changed it back without thinking there was something wrong. As I thought about it and investigated for myself, that is when I noted my balance was at * and I notified Amazon. Again thank you for investigating. * In this current incident, my email has remained the same (unless they changed it to gain access and then put it back to avoid suspicion.) I have no clue, but hopefully you can detect what has happened.*I had taken the balance basically to * and did not renew Prime after what happened last month. *I had planned on spending my new gift cards quickly, but obviously not quick enough if they have gotten to it within a matter of days. I know it has to be frustrating to you, because it certainly is to me.*I was not really concerned last time because the money was returned to me, but this has got to stop.*Now I am wondering - what is the procedure - were the people caught last time..could it be the same people? Last time it said deliver to the Russian Federation this time at least the area code is some what close to where I live .. it says deliver to *****. *If you have any questions please call and leave a message or please email me. I would like to be kept informed. One time could just be bad luck but a second time indicates there is a serious problem and I need to take some kind of precautions. Last time I was assured the people who hacked could not get my credit card information. Before getting that assurance I had cancelled several of the cards. Is the same information still correct? *I will call within the next few days if I do not hear from you.
