Dear Sir or Madam at Amazon,**I have a concern.**Some time ago I ordered a power supply thru you. It had a ** day or ***day warranty (I forget). I received it, placed it into service, and it worked fine. Six months later plus a few days, it died (out of warranty). **I left an unflattering review of the product as I felt it should have lasted some years, not months, and purchased a better quality replacement which has worked fine ever since.**So far so good.**A couple months ago, I received an email offering to replace the power supply if I would remove my negative review. I did not respond as I already had a working power supply and don’t need a spare. Yesterday, I received another email from the merchant offering me a Amazon gift card for $** if I remove my negative review (attached below).**I understand that defects happen and honorable merchants may want to make things right. In such case, the proper path is to offer to replace the supply, and then update the review showing the good faith effort of the merchant to make things right.**However, this merchant wants me to delete my negative review in exchange for a gift card. This approach does not seem proper. A review should be an honest assessment of one’s experience in hopes of guiding future customers. Deleting bad reviews for money seems to defeat the very point of a review in the first place. **I don’t know what your policies are but I wanted to point out my concern.
