Another customer's order was delivered to my address. The outside label was addressed to me, "Mrs J E M Brooker, ** Howbery Farm ... OX** *NR", but when I opened the package, I found a despatch note which told me it had been ordered on Sunday by a gentleman I do not know at all, who lives in NW London* I believe the name was Simon Chu. I have repacked the parcel and sent it on to him by post, with a note to explain. I also tried to email the seller via Amazon to let them know what had happened. I have received this email from Amazon which I think is a wholly inadequate response to the situation: "We are sorry to let you know that your email to SouthernSeasTrading - Amazon Marketplace cannot be delivered because the order is in regards to is either invalid or not between you and the recipient. We apologise for the inconvenience.The affected message was sent ****-**-**T**:**:**.*** with a subject of Delivery enquiry from Amazon customer Jennifer Brooker (Order: ***-*******-*******). For answers to any further questions please visit our online help: http:**www.amazon.co.uk*gp*help*custome*display.html?nodeId***********We hope our online resources meet all your needs. If you have explored the above link but still need to get in touch with us, please use the e-mail form in our online Help department."*I cannot use the email form in Amazon's online Help dept because it requires one to select from a limited number of options regarding subject matter. Receiving another customer's parcel is not one of the options offered! Given the obvious implications for security of customers' data, I would expect to be able to contact both seller and Amazon much more readily, and to get a prompt and intelligent response.
