The item is a Black&Decker coffee maker. First let me say I've been happy with Amazons delivery system until now. UPS Surepost has turned a two day delivery into a * day* (still not out for delivery) and the most bizarre number of transfers I've ever seen. I've never had a problem with UPS Ground or USPS deliveries but combining the two seems to be a bad idea in the first place and being confirmed by online forum posts. As far as how to resolve this particular order there is no need to as long as I get it this week. In the future I would rather go *-* day free shipping with USPS (no UPS hand off) because I know that two day free with USPS is problematic. My suggestion to avoid bad customer PR is to remove the two day free option from items that for some reason requires Surepost. I would rather lose two day shipping than deal with this particular UPS service which apparently pushes it well beyond even the standard *-* day delivery option. Or at least give a Surepost and Smartpost opt-out selection in the manage shipping options of my account. Best option of all is to dump these two services all together. If there is a way to avoid these that I've missed please let me know as this issue would cause me to consider the value of my Prime membership.**Thank You.**Steven
