Amazon never contacted me about my telling them their company was used in a scam. I did my part.

On Wednesday afternoon I received a phone call from "Amazon.com" about the iphone I purchased. I didn't purchase a phone. It said to press * to cancel. I got a dial tone. I called the number on my caller ID (***-***-****) and was put in contact with "Sam Jordan". (***-***-****) He asked who Norman Chase was. I said my husband. He asked if I was Charlotte? He said he saw I was calling from Florida and the phone was ordered from Chicago. He told me as I didn't have internet, I would have to go to a store and purchase a gift card. He would be on my cell phone with me. I would have to charge a gift card for Target in the amount of $*,*** the price of the phone. He would then void the purchase when he verified that it was me and not the other person that ordered the phone. I asked him if I wasn't supposed to talk to the manager of the store what difference did it make. Why couldn't he just cancel the order? I asked if this was a scam and he said to to trust him. I then got a dial tone and when I called back (the *** number) I message said to leave a message. I called my charge company and they cancelled my charge and will send me a new card. Just thought you would like to know. I have never ordered from your company and am now hesitant to consider doing so.*Charlotte Chase
