Good Morning,**I'm writing to you to raise, what I believe, is an important question concerning an Amazon business practice.***I've *placed orders with Amazon many times without any issue but recently I found, without my knowledge or consent, I'd signed up for Amazon Prime with an annual fee of £** having been recently deducted from my account.**Querying this with your consumer service department, I was advised that it was probably as a result of having selected the Prime 'same-day delivery' option on a previous order. It is very possible that that is what happened but if so, it was by mistake.***The fact that my Prime membership remained unopened and unused, clearly demonstrated that I had simply made an error during this previous order. Happily, the operator agreed to refund the sum that had been taken from my account.**However, I feel strongly that Amazon needs to address this issue. If it is the case that Amazon automatically and without warning, signs up customers to the prime service who have just inadvertently clicked the "same-day" delivery option, then that could be construed as sharp practice.***I'm no IT expert but surely when I clicked the Prime delivery option by mistake, your computer would have recognised that I was not entitled to this service and could have advised*warned me: "You are not currently entitled to this service. If you wish to continue with this option, it will cost you an annual fee of £**."***Thank you. In anticipation of your response,**Rob Morrison
