Hello, our plan was visiting London during Christmas season for five days, and since my partner’s skin problem was getting worse and causing so much pain, we had to come back to Preston earler than expected. On that day, we contacted airbnb straight ahead to get our refund and airbnb told us to get doctor’s note. The day after, we went to the hospital to get doctor’s note and he said airbnb has to send the form in order to fill out. Also we wasted lots of money on transportation since the only pharmacy opened was far far away from our accommodation and the hospital and the doctor forgot to put My partner’s name so we couldn’t even get the medicine. We again contacted airbnb with the perscriptiona and all the complicated situations and they were saying that there’s nothing to do with the note and the situation. After Christmas season, we booked the earlist day that we could visit our uni gp and got a doctor’s note by paying £** only for cancellation. We sent the note to airbnb via Twitter and they told us to speak via email. We provided all the details but they said the note was provided after two weeks. However, the problem is we couldn’t get the note sooner since it was Christmas season so all the gp was closed and he hospital doesn’t probide us the note. WE PROVIDED THE PROVE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. But they still said they couldn’t provide the refund. Instead they would het refund £** which was **% of *remainimg days (which I don’t get why) but the owner of he house is resisting to give the money back. As a result we lost £** on the taxi to get the pharmacy, £** on the note, £* for the perscription and £*** for the remaining days of the airbnb. Don’t know wether if you care but as we are students who do not get help from our parents, money is really precious and hard to earn. We have been saved the money for the trip and we lost all the money for nothing. You cannot say that its unable to refund since it was christmas season and there was no way to be sooner and we had been contacting them from day * to two weeks after. Could you please do something about it?? We trusted airbnb so much as a large buissness now all the trust is about to get ruined
