Refer to Booking ID: ***********To Whom it May Concern**I scheduled a Booking through your website, "agoda.com," to stay at the Best Western Golden Sails Inn at Long Beach California from Monday January **, checking out Thursday January **, ****.**Upon my arrival at the Hotel, I was informed that the elevator was "not working" .. inoperable .. this was not good news .. in fact, it was a borderline deal killer problem for me .. having the elevator down at a major corporate brand hotel, is something that is simply unacceptable.*The reason why it was almost a deal killer for me is that I was attending an annual music retailers exhibition and along with my luggage I had audio, video and camera equipment with me for the show but because the elevator was inoperable, I had to carry the gear up and down the * flights of stairs every morning and every evening, for the entire stay there .. after loading everything into my room, I was told by the polite young person there that "the elevator had been out since Thanksgiving" and that they could move me to another room but I was already unpacked and had moved everything up to the room .. while the gesture was kind, an attempt to rectify a situation AFTER the FACT, when there was prior knowledge of the problem, is not a justifiable means by which to bill the customer the premium rate, but deliver a less than premium product or service .. regardless, I specifically wanted a room with a balcony and a view and that is what I was led to believe I was paying for, right up to the point of my arrival there .. also, none of this was disclosed at the time of the Booking by agoda.com, nor was the information relayed to me via any correspondence whether it be email, text, or in any of the live calls I placed to the Hotel prior to my arrival.**For the location and overall comfort of my stay, I would say that I would like to return and stay there again in the very near future as I do frequent business in the L.A.*Orange County areas .. but Please consider this a formal complaint in regard to not receiving the product*services I paid for.**I am not aware of your policy for compensating clients that did not receive the value they paid for, but I trust you will be forthright in offering a resolution.*Thank You for your serious consideration in this matter.**Regards,*Jutta Guner*Contact: *****@***.com
